The girl stood scared, her eyes glued to the towering door in front of her, the umbrella logo matching the scribbled one on her wrist. The Umbrella Academy. Echo contemplated knocking, she could leave and savour what sweet time of freedom she had left, or she could stay and help her only friend in the mission of saving the world, the only thing between the two was a knock. Just a sequence of sounds from her hand and a door decided her fate...so, she knocked.

No answer.

So, she knocked again.

This time Echo was met with the perplexed fronts of a short timid girl, and a tall bolder woman. "Um, are you..." She swallowed, trying not to let her voice cast out into the sharp wind that were pricking at her cheeks, "Are you the Hargreeves?"

"Yes, we are." The curly haired woman spoke, flashing the young looking girl a faked, kind smile. "But if you're hear to talk about are Dad dying, I suggested you come back later, the news is still a little fresh."

"Sorry to hear about your dad," The ginger awkwardly nodded. "But, a friend told me that if I was ever in need, that I should come here. And currently I am in great need...of some food and a good nap. And now that you open the door I'll be doing so, thank you." Echo skipped her way in to the entrance room, her eyes stunned by all the new colours and shapes.

"Wait, what friend?" The timid woman queried, her look filled with hope. Hope was something that Echo had lost with time, it was almost unrecognisable to her.

"All is to be revealed with time, Vanya." The girl stalked out of the room, looking for the kitchen. Her taste buds ache for something other than bread and water.

Echo rustled through the cupboards, then jumping off the counter and edging toward the fridge. She opened it and her eyes sparkled. Food heaven. Oh, how she loves rich people. Revealing what was behind the second door connected to the cold food holder, she read a container 'Ice Cream', sounds good.

So, she grabbed the ice cream and the liquid in a can named 'Dr Pepper' than sat on the tall chair, which was challenge. Echo's mouth hummed at the new sweetness sliding over her tongue. Although now, after gobbling up a whole tube of the frozen angel, she was parched.

Shaking the copper strands out way of her sight, she squinted at the can. How was she to open it?

"Hello strange child," Echo looked up to catch a glimpse of a lanky man in leather trousers, "Do you need help with that?"

"Please." The girl bowed her head, the can moving toward him.

"There you go, little leprechaun." he cracked open the tab and the beverage. "Would you like to join me on a wild trip to meeting of a terribly dysfunctional family?"

"Sure, why not? I've got a couple of hours to spare before my partner gets here." Echo pushed herself from the chair sipping the delicious liquid. "Plus, Hargreeves always told me that you, Klaus, where the fun one of the bunch."
