"I want to pass out."
"Eventful day?" Jisoo giggled, taking a seat at the end of Minyeon's bed.
Minyeon nodded with a smile, lifting her body up by pressing her elbows against her mattress. The sudden shift in distributed weight made it a bit hard for her to stay up but she made it work.
"What all did you do today?" Jisoo asked, setting down a basket with some extra laundry and blankets folded neatly inside.
Minyeon's smile remained as she answered the question. "Just hung out with Renjun today. I didn't even get to tell you before I left! He got a new cat yesterday," she smiled excitedly.
"She's so adorable. She has a dark gray coat and is super cuddly and so protective over Renjun already. Their bond is already so strong and she has so much trust in him. I love seeing them together, it's so adorable.
"I nearly passed out earlier when we were shopping and Renjun was trying to pick out new outfits for her. I seriously didn't know I needed to see him trying to pick out a nice outfit for his cat but it's a memory I will always cherish from now on."
She finally let her elbows collapse from under her, the rest of her body laying flat on her bed as she continued to rant while Jisoo listened to every word.
"He looked so confused and kept trying to ask me for my opinions on different shirts and sweaters, I swear it was so cute.
"He let me name her Minnie, after myself, and she loves the name already. She seems so happy to be with Renjun, I don't think she could've found a better home, seriously.
"We even went to go get something to eat after we finished at the shop and then went back to his house. We ended up setting the bed, her toys, and new scratching post up before we even started eating 'cause Ren didn't want her to be all over our food when we started eating.
"But I'm not even sure it really mattered all that much. As soon as we finished, I went to go find her but she was already fast asleep in her new bed and managed to cover herself with the new blanket she just got too.
"Look, I even have a photo!" Minyeon pointed out, grabbing her phone from her bedside table and immediately going to her camera roll while Jisoo watched from over her shoulder.
Before Minyeon tapped on the picture with the new cat, Jisoo caught glimpse of the other recent photos flooding through the younger girl's photos.
There were quite a bit only from today. Pictures and videos of Renjun and the cat playing together, Renjun looking excited from things he saw at the store, Renjun kissing the top of the cat's head, and even some pictures of him setting up the cat scratch tower before it led to more pictures of the two eating happily.
For a second, Jisoo forgot what picture Minyeon was even looking for but her eyes got even softer when the photo was finally pulled up and she got to see Minnie in her full glory while laying in her new fluffy gray bed.
"Isn't she a cutie?" Minyeon giggled, pointing at the cat on her screen.
"She definitely is. I used to have a cat just like her when I was younger. She was very affectionate but loved her sleep. She was pretty quiet and just liked cuddling with anyone she could get her paws on."
Minyeon nodded after listening tentatively. "Renjun says that's what Minnie is like most of the time too. But sometimes he'll have to go outside to move his trash or clean something up and she'll try and run out after him. He said that she has some fascination with everything outside and it's really adorable."
"I'm sure it is," Jisoo smiled. "Just make sure he knows that she's never supposed to be outside alone if he doesn't have an extra closed-off gate that's cat-proof. Just in case any males in the area find her. Unless she's neutered, of course, but I'm sure it's probably still safer for her to be in one of those built-in fences that kind of come off of the house, you know?"
"Oh yeah!" Minyeon nodded. "I remember seeing some videos with cages like that so that the people's cat could go outside without the possibility of losing them or the cats accidentally getting hurt while roaming."
Jisoo nodded, "exactly. Very beneficial for both Renjun and Minnie since she'd be able to go outside while Renjun knows that she's safe and sound without having to watch her and worry."
Minyeon nodded, "he said he was also thinking about getting cameras around his house at some point just in case some animal does pass by and see Minnie. He's apparently seen some dogs that are super reactive to other animals going around his neighborhood. He's still not sure who their owners are though cause they never have collars on."
"Then how does he know they aren't strays?"
"They're always well fed and clean. They're usually only out around the daytime and when the street lights come on, they're usually running off to wherever their home is."
Jisoo nodded, "hmm. That would be important for him to check out, I suppose. Whoever the owners of those dogs are needs to be in a lot of trouble for letting their dogs roam like that. It's not only dangerous for other animals but also Renjun and everyone he lives around. You never know if one day those dogs decide they aren't very big fans of people either."
"Exactly," Minyeon nodded.
A second of silence came over the two as Minyeon leaned back down onto her bed. Her phone raised above her head as she began going through different apps.
After a second, Jisoo finally stood up and turned towards Minyeon. She finally decided to ask a question that had been pestering at her for the last few months.
"Minyeon, do you like Renjun now?"

anyways y'all GUESS WHAT
tomorrow is my last day of school before winter break and i'm so excited. i have not had free time in so long and it feels so wrong.
like i'm just sitting here and my brain is like yelling at my body saying "GET UP! GET UP! YOU HAVE HOMEWORK!!" when i literally don't.
it's like when ur fight or flight instincts kick in and it takes a minute for the adrenaline to calm down after not having to use either one and it's super uncomfortable until it finally goes away. u know?
but yeah! no homework for me 😎
i do however got a map test over the continent of asia tomorrow where i have to name every country in asia and the middle east but i'm so ready for it. i've studied so hard and if i don't make a 100 on it i'm gonna be super surprised cause i've tested myself over it multiple times and kept getting 100s so i better do well tomorrow ✋🏽
but YEAH. i hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. make sure to anticipate the next few! this book is only going to have like 30 or 35 chapters and the last two aren't actual chapters so we only rlly have 6-11 actual storyline chapters left.
