How in the world had Minyeon ended up in this situation is the real question.
For the past few weeks, all she could think about was her non-existent relationship with Donghyuck. And for the past weeks, she's also been all over the place thinking about her relationship with Renjun.
For once, just once, she wanted to really get some alone time and sort out all of her feelings. She wanted to just get out of the house and forget about everything going on around her.
She just wanted a breath of fresh air.
But it didn't seem like luck was on her side. It never was and it probably never would be. She was just unlucky.
With no one else in the theater, the boys took the chance to make their commentary aloud. Minyeon didn't mind too much, as she could still hear the audio over their voices.
But even if she couldn't hear, she wouldn't care much. She was feeling more drained than before she walked inside and it was definitely beginning to affect her physical capabilities.
It wasn't until almost halfway through the movie did her social battery start running into the negatives.
"Hey, Minyeon. What do you think about the movie so far?" Donghyuck asked.
Now normally, she would have the courtesy to give a full sentence or two in response to a question from Donghyuck. But at the moment, she was too tired to really get out too many clear words.
She nodded slowly, a thin smile on her lips, "pretty good."
She expected her talking session to end there but she was wrongly mistaken. She felt something tap her right hand, making her look over at Renjun.
The boy smiled happily at her with a piece of candy in his hand, "do you want some? I brought too much for myself."
Minyeon shook her head to decline, "no, I'm good. Thank you."
While her conversation did end there, Jaemin had heard the offer from below and felt the urge to break his neck in an attempt to ask Renjun for some candy.
And if he wanted some, why would the other boys?
Minyeon could see multiple hands coming towards Renjun from different angles in an attempt to get more candy. She accepted her fate and tried her best to watch the movie even with the many distractions.
