Minyeon was quiet as she walked through the house, finding her way to her mother's room.
Jaemin was out with Jeno and Jisung, leaving her at her with the company of her mother and her mother's nurse, Jisoo.
For the past few days, it was very quiet around the house, even when she and Jaemin were both home.
But it wasn't just quiet at their house. Since the three other guys had left, everyone was down and quiet. The group chat would only get a few messages a day if any really.
Social media was also pretty quiet. No matter what platform Minyeon found herself on, there was nothing that was really of interest to her and she would get off the app a few minutes later to try and get on another to get some kind of satisfaction.
But there was really nothing and half of the day she found herself absentmindedly scrolling through Instagram, rereading the same sentence in a book to try to comprehend it, or staring at the ceiling. The other half of the day she could be found with her face stuffed into the mattress to distract herself by sleeping.
Jaemin and the other boys weren't in very different stances either. Each of them were bored and in need of something to do.
The real problem was that none of them truly felt motivated. All they wanted to do was stay in bed and sleep. But at the same time, they wanted to get up and do something fun.
Everyone was just in a bummy mood.
"Hi, Minyeon," Jisoo smiled, looking up at the door as the younger girl walked inside and took a seat in the chair that sat in the corner of the room.
She really liked the chair. It was a pretty gray color and soft enough to fall asleep on. The only problem she had with it was that it looked a lot like the hospital chairs they had in the rooms for people visiting.
She absolutely hated being reminded of the hospital. Especially when her mother was in the same room.
She smiled softly at Jisoo, making herself comfortable in the chair. "Where's mother?"
Jisoo hummed, continuing to fold some of the towels into a neat stack that would eventually be put in the bathroom.
"She's in the bathroom. She should be done soon, though. Is there something you wanted to ask her?"
Minyeon shook her head hesitantly, "no, no, nothing really. Just wanted to spend some time with her, you know?"
Jisoo giggled softly, nodding. But her questions got the best of her when she looked back over at Minyeon and asked the same thing that had been on her mind for a few days.
"So what's been going on with you and your brother? You two have been home a lot more than usual and your friends haven't even stopped by."
The teenage girl across the room sighed, putting her face into her hands and rubbing her eyes harshly.
