(slight A/N, I'm finally back!! After like forever, sorry guysssssssss I was busy with school. But I'm on school holidays so you will be fed, I promise)

Inari's P.O.V~

I watched the ninjas train. What idiots. They're just gonna die. There's no point in them even trying to succeed. Even if they do all that, it's just a waste. I was about to walk away when one of them caught me staring. I glared at them. They smiled at me, making my scowl deepen. Whatever. They don't have to pretend to be nice. I turned around and walked away, 'they're just gonna die,' I repeated to myself, 'just like he did.'

Y/n's P.O.V~

What a weird, angsty little kid. All I did was smile at him and he got angry at me. Like, sorry I'm not emo like you and Sasuke, geez. I sat down next to Kakashi, who was reading Icha Icha. I looked at him. I wonder if telling him Zabuza's still alive is a bad idea... like how would I even tell him? Would I just say-

"Hey nice ass, by the way, did you know Zabuza the cow mist guy is still alive?"

"First of all, I'm not exactly sure how appropriate that compliment was. We may be in a strange circumstance but you're still a minor and I'm still your sensei."

I blinked. "Wait did I say that aloud?" He flipped a page of his book.

"Yeah."

"Oh," I responded, my face flushing bright red.

"Yeah."

"Sorry," I mumbled, suddenly deciding that this one tree on the far right was particularly interesting and my eyes couldn't leave it.

Despite ogling the tree, I could hear Kakashi stifle an amused chuckle.

"To answer your question though, yes I was very well aware. Did you pay attention when I told you this in Tazuna's house?"

I looked back at him, my shame fading already. "Nope." He rolled his eye at my answer and put the book down.

"Honestly Y/n-"

Before he could finish his sentence (which was no doubt a scolding), the sound of Naruto falling caught both of our attention. We looked around, everyone was exhausted. Except for me of course, I can't really train right now without Sasuke and Sakura getting nosy about my abilities. I stood up and made my way over to Naruto.

"You okay?"

'How can those two have so much stamina? I mean, Y/n barely trained at all so I get why they're not tired, but how are the other two still going? Although, Naruto's not getting any better. It won't be long before he throws a tantrum and gives up.'

I had to bite my tongue to keep myself from doing something to Sakura. It honestly makes my blood boil how she treats Naruto–how everyone treats Naruto right now. I clenched my jaw, it takes him saving the entire damn village by himself to get people to treat him with respect.

Naruto beamed up at me with a sheepish laugh, rubbing the back of his head.

"I'm alright dattebayo! But..." He looked back up at the tree and then at Sakura. Standing up, he walks over to her.

"Hey, say... do you have any tips for me? Just between us, we don't have to tell Sasuke," he whispered, grinning happily at her. My heart melted and my eyes softened, he's so sweet and genuine. How could they ever hate him?

I was about to go sit back down when I heard someone clear their throat behind me. I turned around, crossing my arms.

"What is it Sasuke?"
