Naruto Various! x Reader: The Disastrous Life Of An Otaku Ninja

"...are you saying... that we're in a closet?"

I opened my eyes to complete darkness. 'that's strange' I thought, 'shouldn't light be coming in through the curtains or something? And why am I so cold?' My eyes had slowly begun adjusting and I spotted a small outline of a figure curled up beside me.

"Hey, B/n... wake up."

He groaned and sat up, yawning. "What's wrong Onee-chan?"

I cooed at his cuteness. "Well, actually I don't think we're in our room anymore. I don't remember falling asleep surrounded by jackets and clothes." I whispered, gesturing to the outfits around us.

"...... are you saying.... that we're in a closet?" I nodded hesitantly,

"Okay that sounds a little stranger aloud." he smiled and giggled until we heard a groan emit from the other side of the door. I motioned for him to be quiet and tried to see out the crack between the door and the wall.

"What the-?" I squinted, trying to get a clearer image of what I was looking at. I ever so slightly opened the door by a smidgen. My eyes widened at the sight.

"H-hey B/n, we're not dreaming r-right?" I whispered shakily.

He shook his head after pinching his arm. "It's real."

All the colour drained from my face. So t-that means w-we're really? My head snapped at the sound of an alarm ringing.

"Ughh... I don't wanna get up dattebayo." I heard a tired voice mumble. B/n's eyes widened as well.

"Why is that voice familiar?" He mouthed.

I leaned in close, "I think.... that we're in-"

The closet door opened revealing an all-too-familiar sleepy face. Our eyes widened and we froze in fear and shock. The famous nin stepped forward, trying to get his jacket when his foot made contact with my leg. He looked down and froze. We all stared at each other before the realisation settled in.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He stumbled backwards, tripping over, screaming at the top of his lungs. Me and B/n looked at each other before I launched myself at the screaming boy. I covered his mouth to muffle the screams. His eyes shone in fear as he thrashed around- determined to get out of my grip. I released my own shaking hands off of his mouth and he panted, catching his breath.

"W-who a-are y-you?" He stuttered out, shakily. B/n started to tear up at the commotion and the blonde quickly panicked again.

"H-hey uhh, I'm sorry, I just- WAIT HANG ON, YOU GUYS WERE THE ONES THAT BROKE INTO MY HOUSE DATTEBAYO!" B/n covered his ears, the yelling bringing back memories. I stood up.

"We don't know how we got here either!" I said, just as confuzzled and afraid as the boy in front of me.

"I swear! We're not even ninja!"

The scared boy in front of me seemed to only tense up more.

"Then how come you were in my closet huh?! huh?!"

I furrowed my eyebrows, looking down.
"I... I don't know."

He stepped back, grabbing a kunai.
"Why should I believe you?!"

I glanced worriedly at my crying brother. I opened my mouth to answer but B/n beat me to it. "I-it's m-my fa-fault." Our attention went to him.
"what?" I asked. "It's not your fault."

He shook his head. "It is, I made a wish so that we could escape... I wished we could go to where we could live without being alone. Where you could not be alone anymore." He sniffled. I hugged him. We heard the sound of something dropping and turned to see the boy, he had dropped the kunai and fell to his knees.

"I-I'm sorry, I got so scared, I didn't see that you were just as afraid as I was... I think I believe you." He whispered, still staring at our interaction. A small smile settled on my face.

"What's your name?" He asked.

"I'm Y/n L/n and this is my little brother B/n L/n. Nice to meet you- even if we met weirdly."

He giggled. "I'm Uzumaki Naruto and I'm going to be the Hokage! BELIEVE IT!"

I glanced at my brother and nodded.
"WE BELIEVE YOU NARUTO!!" A huge grin spread across his face.

"Really?!"

We nodded enthusiastically. "Of course! You're going to be the strongest Hokage ever!" We said, suddenly I felt giddy.

I looked at B/n,
"can you believe it? We're out of there!! We're gonna be happy here, I can feel it!" All of my fear had left my form, no longer was I in shock or afraid- I was ecstatic.

"So uh, can we room here? JUST for now? We kind of have nowhere to stay."

He beamed and gave a thumbs up. "Sure you can!" His features then furrowed into confusion.

"So... say, say how did you get inside my closet anyway?" I sighed internally. This was going to be one long day.
