" It's not Granny's but it's really good " said Emma as her and Killian sat in a booth of the closest restaurant near the station where the blonde worked. " I've eated here so many times before Henry showed up. Their club sandwich is amazing ! "
" If you say so, love " he answered. Emma laughed and he stared at her with a confused look on his face. " What ? " Killian said.
" I'm just used to see you with a hook, not a fake hand covered by a glove. It's funny " she explained.
" Well I can't really wear my hook in public. I don't think they see that very frequently here " he answered.
" Yeah I know. Hey, by the way, tonight we're going to see some friends. I've arranged that earlier " said Emma.
" Friends ? Who is it ? Some people from the station ? " asked Killian, confused.
" Nop. Robin, Roland and Marian " she replied. Killian's eyes opened wide.
" You found- " he started saying but she continued talking.
" Roland almost hit me while running this morning while I was getting to the station and Robin was with him. Turns out they were staying in Boston the whole time and they live just a few blocks away. So Robin invited us for diner " she finished.
" This is quite a coincidence. When they find a way to bring us back, maybe they could come with us " said Hook.
" They can't. If they do, Marian's heart will freeze. That's why they left in the first place... " added Emma, with a guilty look on her face. She knew it was her fault. She should never have brought Marian back. However, she could not have let her to die at Regina's hand. Marian did not do something wrong and she did not deserve to die. Still, Emma destroyed Regina's happy ending and at the same time, Robin's.
" Emma, it's not your fault " said Hook while grabbing her hand. " You didn't know it was Marian, you just wanted to save her life " He knew what Emma was thinking about and that she was still feeling guilty about what she did.
" No, Killian, I still did it. My job is to bring everyone's happy ending, not to destroy it. Plus, now I'm not even in town to do this " she whispered. She did not want the others to hear, because they would sound a little crazy. Sadly, Boston people didn't know about magic.
" Maybe you did it, but it was an accident. You're still helping Regina to find the author and if you find him or her, you'll probably get her the happy ending she deserves. There's nothing more you could do " he said. Emma nodded.
" I sent a message to my mom, telling her I met Robin and that she could tell Regina if she thought it was a great idea. I guess we'll just wait for... Regina's reaction " she said.
At that time, the waitress arrived with their food. They decided to change the subject and talked about the places Emma could show Killian while they were in Boston.
After they ate, Killian brought Emma back to the station and went back to the appartment by foot. Emma, on her side, was stopped by one of her co-workers, Clark.
" Hey, Emma. I got a new case for you " he said as he gave her a file.
" Thanks " she simply said as she headed to her desk. She opened the file and had a bloody surprise.
Lily. She had to find Lily.
