2 ; Nightmares

Emma had again a troubled sleep. She had found herself in that dark room with the door in front of her. She knew she had to walk trough it, but she also knew what she was about to see. The blonde was trying to find a way out, other than the door, but she only hurt herself on walls. Emma walked slowly to the door. She would not hear anything, not a sound. She opened the door and walked in the room. Her feet where already glued to the ground and she saw Killian, just like he was in her previous nightmare. Their voice had been taken away. Everything happened the same. She saw the mysterious one crush her true love's heart.

Emma opened her eyes in shock. She was trembling, just like the night before. At first, she didn't really realise where she was, until she heard his familiar voice.

" Hey, Emma, I'm here " whispered Killian from behind.

She turned around and saw him laying in the bed. Hook put his arm around Emma's waist and she let herself get closer to him.

" Was it the same nightmare ? " Hook asked softly.

" Yeah " she whispered.

" Don't worry, okay ? I'm staying here with you " he added. " Get some sleep, now, love "

She closed her eyes and fell asleep in Killian's arms. It felt really good. It was the first time it happened and they were loving to be this close. Killian, even if he was a little worried about Emma's nightmares, he liked the feeling he had of protecting her. We're not gonna lie, Emma was a strong woman that liked to take care of herself. As she said to Killian when they were back in time : " The only one who saves me is me " and that's how she has been her whole life because of those walls she had put up. Only Killian had been able to bring those down and now he could also protect her. Killian fell asleep quickly, still holding his love in his arms.

Emma woke up as the light penetrates the room in the crack of the curtains. She turned her head to see she was next to Killian and that she was in his room at Granny's inn. She smiled, and got up, being careful not to wake him up. Emma quickly looked at herself in the mirror and replaces her hair, so it didn't look too messy. She put her books back on and her red leather jacket.

" Swan ? " said Hook in a sleepy voice.

" Hey " she simply answered.

" You're leaving ? "

" Yeah. I'll see you later ? "

" Okay " replied Killian, smiling.

Emma got closer to the bed and kissed Hook. After their kissed, she sat on the bed and they looked at each other with a big smile on their face.

" It was nice having you with me tonight " confessed Emma, while her cheeks turned a little red.

" It was " he answered.

The night after, Emma found herslef in her parents appartment, where she usaly stays. Henry was already asleep, just like Neal. Mary Margaret was on the couch watching TV and slowly falling asleep and David had just came in the kitchen to get some water, where Emma was.

" What are you looking at ? " asked David to his daughter.

" Appartments " she aswered, while her eyes were still on the newspaper. " I'm 30, well almost 31, I have a child, a boyfriend, and I still live with my parents. That just sounds weird " she added.

" It's not like you have a normal life " her dad answered.

" You have a point. But still, I think Henry would like it and he is starting to accept Killian a little more so I thought it might be a great idea. And nothing has happened in Storybrooke since a few weeks, we finally have some time to breathe " she explains.

" Yeah. I think we'll just miss having you and Henry around here " he confessed.

" I'm sure you'll also enjoy having the whole appartment " she smiled. " I'm going to sleep, it's getting late "

" Goodnight Emma " said David, with a smile.

" Goodnight, dad " Emma replied, as she got upstairs. She quickly went to her room and changed before going to sleep. She fell asleep fast, but still thought about the previous night, with Hook and how it felt great to be with him.

She should have expected it, the nightmare came back. She had to walk from that dark room to the one where Hook was held as a prisonner. She saw the mysterious one crush Killian's heart as she could not talk or move. However, something changed. After Hook took his last breath, the ropes holding him disapeared and he fell from the chair, lying on the floor. What kept her feet from moving also dissapeared and she was able to move to him. She could scream his name and she started crying hysterically. Next to her were the ashes of his heart. She took some in her hands, but she knew that even with her magic, she could not bring him back. Magic can do much, but not that. Dead is dead.

Emma woke up crying. She sat in her bed and shook her head.

" That was not real " she whispered. " But what if it was a premonition or something like that " she added in her head.

She whipped her tears and got out of bed. She went downstairs and took a glass of water to calm her down. As she finished drinking, she heard Neal crying. Emma went to the baby's cradle, hoping she could calm her little brother before her parents would wake up.

" Hey, little guy. I got you " she whispered to her brother as she took him in his arms." Shh... it's over "

She then thought about her parents and what his dad used to do when her mom had nightmares, because of the sleeping curse.

" Wait, it won't be long " she said to Neal, that was calmed a little.

She put him back in his cradle and she found some matches. Baby Neal started crying again, so she hurried up. She lit a candle and let it on the table, then took her brother again. She sat at the kitchen table and suddently, he stopped crying compleatly.

" Nightmares aren't fun, huh ? " she whispered. " But this trick always works. I took it from dad. We're lucky to have such amazing parents, right Neal ? "

And just behind her stood Mary Margaret and David that had woke up because of Neal. They watched Emma with a smile full of pride and joy.
