"I'll let you two talk and tell me what you decide afterwards," declared the lady that made them visit the appartment next to the docks, the one Henry found and that they'd talk about for some time now.
"Henry would totally like it," said Emma after the lady left the room. The lad was at school at this time.
"He would. And I do," answered Killian.
"And I too. I guess there's just a few things to change, but it's not that much. I-It's... I think it's the perfect place," she added.
"Indeed, Swan," he smiled.
"So, we take it ?"
"We do,"
A little whike after, the lady came back and told them about the payment and everything.
"When could we move in ?" asked Emma.
"In about two weeks. The previous owners just need to take everything and clear stuff.. but in two weeks it's all yours," explained the lady.
"Okay. Do you mind if we'd... come back in a few hours ? I'd like to show the place to my son," she asked.
"Sure, in three hours is that alright ?"
"Yeah,"
"Then I'll be here for you," she said.
* * *
Henry got out of school, but before he could get in the bus, he spotted Killian that was waiting for him.
"Hey, what are you doing here ?" asked Henry.
"Your mom and I have something for you, but she's working at the station so she asked me to come and get you," explained the pirate.
"A surprise ? What is it ?" asked the lad.
"Well it wont be a surprise anymore of I tell you," said Hook.
"Duh, I know. I just want to know what it is," he answered.
"You'll know soon," said Killian. "C'mon, let's go get your mom,"
The two of them walked to the Sheriff station, which wasn't so far from there. Emma quickly finished her work as they arrived. They all went into Emma's car and got to the appartment. When Henry saw the docks, he practicly already knew what was the surprise.
Just before they entered, Emma spoke : "We're moving in two weeks,"
"You already bought it ?" he asked, all excited.
"Yes, lad," answered the pirate.
"You just need to choosd the color you want in your room," added his mother.
* * *
Two weeks later
Boxes were all around the appartment. It was a mess, to be true, but it was now their home and they liked it.
David and Mary Margaret were here to help with the paint and furniture. They also had to call Robin after they realised Hook wasn't going to be much help with only a hand to move the furniture.
David and Killian were doing whatever in the living room while Emma and her mother were painting Henry's room with the blue and green he'd chosen.
"Mom, can you believe we just had two weeks without any... drama," said Emma after a while.
"Actually, the record is six weeks, hope we'll beat it," answered her mother.
"Yeah I hope. I'd like to have the time to move in at least," said the Sheriff.
"Let's just enjoy what we have now," said Mary Margaret.
"A quiet moment," Emma whispered and smiled.
"What ?" asked Snow.
"Nothing," she answered. "I'll go get somethig to drink. You want something ?" she then asked.
"No, its alright. Just don't put paint on your new fridge," she said and pointed her daughter's hands, all covered in blue paint.
"Don't worry,"
Emma got up and went to the kitchen, where she saw her pirate with his bottle of rum in his hands.
"Where's my dad ?" she asked.
"He forgot his phone in the car and needed to call Robin," explained Killian.
"He could have borrowed mine," she shruged her shoulders, getting closer to him. She had something in mind, which was why she hid her hands behind her back. Within a second, she put her hand on his cheek, leaving a blue mark.
"Really ?" he said and she laughed, which made him smile a little.
"Sure you don't want a hug ?" she then added, knowing her shirt also had paint on it.
"No, it's okay Swan. I'd like my jacket to stay black," he answered.
"C'mon," she added, stepping closer. He couldn't help but laugh as she acted like a child. She made a pity face. "Please,"
He stepped forward and pressed his lips on hers. She brought her hands to his cheeks, getting the other side blue.
The door opened as David entered.
"Ahem..." he simply said and both stepped back, a little shy. David saw the two blue marks on Hook's cheek and simply laughed. "Maybe you should go help with the paint, mate," joked the prince.
"Funny," he answered.
"Actually, you should since you can't move furniture. You know, instead of doing nothing and drinking rum," added Emma. "Yeah, c'mon," she took his hand and brought him to Henry's future bedroom.
"Weren't you getting something to drink ?" asked her mother.
"Oh, yeah. That's what I forgot," she answered.
Killian took his bottle of rum, on which there was now paint because of Emma and passed it to her.
"Rum's always good," she declared.
