Emma was still looking at her computer in the Sheriff station, thinking about what just happened with Hook and how it took just a few hours to break that little bubble of joy she had when she first saw her family. She could never live a peaceful life, there was always a crisis. Even if she tried, everytime people around her would get hurt or she would be the one wounded.
A cloud of purple smoke appeared next to her and a few seconds later she saw it was Regina.
" W-What are you doing here ? " asked Emma.
" Have you found the location of the house yet ? " asked the mayor in return.
" Yes, I'm on it now. I was about to go see my parents and- " started the savior.
" Don't go now. Tomorrow, Gold is planning to go find the door August talked about, the one that contains the author. I'll try to be the one that stays to watch August, but it might not be me. Just... be careful, " finished Regina before dissapearing in that purple could of smoke. Emma shook her head and printed the location of Regina's cellphone and headed out of the station, not forgetting to lock the door.
Emma got in her car and sighted, then started the engine and rode to her parent's appartment. She got upstairs as when she opened the door, she found Henry in front of the TV and her parents in the kitchen with Neal.
" I know where August is, but Regina told me to wait until tomorrow, while they'll be looking for the... door. I don't really know what she was talking about, but- " started Emma.
" I know what door, " said Henry as he got up and took what looked to be a file. He took out an illustration of a door. " That was in August's stuff that Marco kept in case he remembered his old self. I just don't know how it will lead us to the author or where is that door and I bet Gold is looking for the same thing, " he finished.
" Let's just hope he doesn't find it before we do, because he certainly does not have good intentions " added David.
" Emma, weren't you with Hook ? " asked Mary Margaret.
" Oh yeah, well he... left " she simply said, thinking about what happened and felt bad about it. Luckily for Emma, her family didn't ask anymore questions.
" How about we go to Granny's and talk about saving August after, since it looks like we have a little more time, acoarding to Regina, " added Mary Margaret.
Everyone agreed and a few minutes they all left for Storybrooke's most famous restaurant.
* * *
" Mom, is there something wrong ? " asked Henry. He and Emma were alone in a booth as Emma's parents were talking with Granny at the counter.
" No it's okay. I just think it's getting back here and having to deal with a crisis again, " she answered.
" Well I'm glad you're back. I missed you, " said Henry.
" I missed you too, kid, " replied Emma, giving her son a hug.
" Do you think August will be alright ? " he then asked.
" He will. He's a strong man, " said Emma. She was still thinking about that talk she had with Hook and what he kept away from her. She really had to talk to him. " Do you mind staying with my parents ? I have to do something. When I'll get back, if we have time, we could watch a movie ? " she suggested.
" Okay. What are you going to do ? " he asked.
" I just need to talk to Killian, " she said before getting up. She gave her son a smile before walking to Granny's inn. She knocked on Killian's door a few times, but she got no answer. Emma tried his cellphone but she did not get any answer either, so she decided to go check the docks.
When she arrived, she didn't miss her pirate talking with a woman she thought was Ursula and another man. By the time she got out of the car, the two left and Killian stayed there, staring at the sea. Emma walked silently towards him.
" Hey, " she said and he turned around, surprised to see her there.
" Hi, Swan " he answered.
" Was it- "
" Ursula and her father. I needed to fix my mistakes, " he answered.
Emma took a deep breath before continuing on what she needed to say. " It's okay for you to hide a part of your past or wanting to forget it, but you're... lying about it. Ursula seemed to have more importance than what you pretend and I just want you to know that whatever happened between you too, I don't mind even if it's an... awful thing because I know that the man I know is not the man you used to be. I won't and will never judge any of this, "
Killian took a step closer to her and grabbed her hand, looking at her with love in his eyes, but regret. Even if he'd just fix his mistake, he still did an awful thing because he was a vilain.
" I destroyed her happy ending, but luckily I've just been able to give her back. My past is something I want to forget about and something I'm ashamed of. I used to be an awful man and I don't want you to see me as that man, " he confessed.
" I know I have that tendency of seeing the worst in people, but I choose to see the best in you, Killian, " said Emma.
" And I with you, "
On that note, they got even more close until their lips touched and created a passionate kiss, a true love's kiss.
