" Why would I be jealous. Thought I do know you're partial to men in leather jackets, " said Hook as they were talking about August.
" He's just a friend, " answered Emma, looking at him in the eyes and smiling because of Killian's reaction. She thought it was cute. She grabbed his hook and leaned her head on his shoulder. " Do you think I should ask my parents about what the well - ex-author said ? About Maleficent's child ? " she asked.
" I think you should. It's probably not a big deal. Your parents are heroes, just like you, Swan, " he answered.
" I just sense something's off. It's about someone's happy ending, about the loss of a child. It doesn't seem good, " she confessed.
" They lost you too when you were younger. Maybe it's something similar to your story. Just ask them, you've got nothing to lose, " replied Killian.
" Maybe you're right. Anyways, my parents would never lie to me. They never did, " added Emma.
Henry, that was sitting at the kitchen table close to them, concentrated on his book suddently got up to them.
" Look, mom, " he said, showing his book. One page was filled with writing and the next one was a drawing of Killian and her, on the couch, in the same position they were a few seconds ago.
" How did you- " asked Emma.
" Magic quill, " he answered. " I guess that's my job now. To record stories. August started to tell me what he knows about being the author. He told me not to ask Isaac because he didn't use his powers for good. I just decided to try it with you guys, " explained the kid.
The door opened and revealed Mary Margaret and David entering the appartment. Since Killian wanted Emma to talk to her parents, he asked Henry if he wanted to go sailing. While Hook and Emma's trip in Boston, Mr. Smee and the Jolly Roger's crew finally delimited the town line in te water, which meant they could finally sail, just... not tot far.
So Killian left with Henry, leaving the Charmings alone.
" Hey, mom, dad, I wanted to ask you something... " started Emma.
" Yes ? " said Mary Margaret.
" The previous author he told me about Maleficent's happy ending, that she lost her child and that you guys know about it. I was wondering if you could you know... tell me what happened, " she declared. Mary Margaret kept her head down and David's eyes widened.
" She deserves to know... " whispered Mary Margaret but Emma heared. She looked at her parents with confusion. David
" Mom, Dad, what's going on ? " asked Emma.
" Maleficent lost her child because of us ! Because we wanted you to be good. You could have turned a vilain, just like all of them. We just wanted you to be a hero, " confessed Mary Margaret, taking off a big weight on her shoulders. She kept the secret away from her for so long and now that the dragon was back in Storybrooke and Emma too, it was just stressing her more.
" W-What ? I don't understand. She lost her child so I could be... good ? " answered Emma, a little frustrated.
" Let's just sit down and we'll tell you the whole story, " finally said David.

After her parents finished, Emma stood up and went straight to the door. She couldn't believe what her parents did. They were heroes, she always could look up to them, but not anymore.
" Emma, please, " said Mary Maragret as her daughter wss about to pass the door. " I'm your mother, "
" I don't care, " she snaped, in a straight tone, hurting her parents but herself too. She walked and close the door. Arrived in the yellow bug, she drove to the first place that got into her mind : the docks.
She got out of her car and walked to the edge of the dock. She just stayed there, looking at the sea and hoping she could take things off her mind. Emma stayed there for a while, until she recognized a voice behind her and just to hear him made her feel a little better.
" Your parents called me, " said Killian.
" I don't want to hear about them now, " she turned to face him. " Where's Henry ? "
" I dropped the lad at Regina's, " he simply answered by taking a few steps towards her and she rushed to his arms.
" Why did they send you ? "asked Emma.
" They didn't you'd listen to them, " he answered.
" They were right, " she stated.
" I also wanted to make sure you were okay, " added Killian.
" Thank you, " she whispered.
Thet stayed like this for a while, holding each other.
