SPOILERS FOR STEVEN UNIVERSE AND GRAVITY FALLS ARE HERE, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Okay, so, lately if you go through a Gravity Falls tag, there's a lot of 'Steven Universe' in it.

Until I went through the Gravity Falls tag on Instagram and Tumblr, I was unaware that Steven Universe even existed. Now that I know about the show, I realize I've seen plenty of fanart of the Gems before and just didn't know where they were from.

After Not What He Seems and the huge canon there (I still can't even believe the twin theory was right and it has been weeks), I started to see lots of stuff from the Steven Universe fandom. I guess one of their long shot theories also got confirmed, and they were going about as nuts as the Fallers were. I didn't understand what it meant, but everywhere I just kept seeing 'Garnet is a fusion of Ruby and Sapphire!' and also that said Ruby and Sapphire are both girls and like each other. So you can bet people were flipping out about that

I got curious and looked up this 'fusion' scene on YouTube just to see what they meant (it's above if you want to see, it shows the fusion and the song that follows it) and really liked the scene. So I thought 'why not watch the first episode' and then bam I've watched every single episode

I don't like it as much as Slugterra or Gravity Falls, but Steven Universe is actually a really fun and cute show. I wish I had gotten into the show before I heard that Garnet was a fusion, because my favorite character is Garnet. Not only is her voice the BEST (second only maybe to Eli-Aerrow's awesome voice and definitely Bill Cipher), but I just love her character. And now that I know she's two Gems she has become even greater.

Amethyst is an okay character, I guess I can only like the reckless characters so much. I sort of lost all sympathy for Amethyst when she was fighting with Greg and shapeshifted into Rose Quartz, idk I get she was upset but that was a bit uncalled for, and them it was just brushed off. Pearl is also great, and when hologram-Pearl sort of ran the original Pearl through, my face had to be priceless, I just about flipped out. I love her OCD and I am fairly sure she has (had?) a crush on Rose Quartz. Rose Quartz, from the flashbacks I've seen, was a fantastic leader and seems like a pretty awesome Gem.

Then there's Steven. First off, I like that the main character of the show is... built soundly? Oh you know what, whatever. Chubby. He is. And so was Rose Quartz (even before she was pregnant with Steven). And that is awesome. Steven is a little like Amethyst in the reckless sense, but usually not on purpose. His crush on Connie is almost as adorable as Dipper's crush on Wendy, and he's come so far since the first episode.

I have mixed feelings on Lapis Lazuli, but I guess in the end she did the right thing. Her personality aside, she is probably one of my favorite-looking characters. Probably because she's all blue and has a thing for the ocean.

Peridot makes me feel awkward because that's my birthstone and I am not like that. Also is that her hair or a helmet??

Jasper getting her butt kicked by Garnet is also fun to watch. They did a great job of making a hatable character there.

I LOVE Garnet's song, Stronger Than You. It's just a great song, it makes you love Garnet even more, and really shows how confident she is as a fusion.

So does anyone else watch this show or did I just rant to nobody xD
