I got off the bed to stand in front of Angel and that was when I saw it. It was more than fear that was all over her, it was worry, concern and I could see it in her eyes. She didn't look at me but just stared ahead of her. I touched her face as she jumped and then looked up at me. I could see the tears in her eyes as I said to her, "Angel, why didn't you tell me that you are having nightmares?" Angel just looked at me for a moment as she blinked a few times trying to stop the tears. I rubbed her arm with one hand while I had the other hand on her face. "I was going to tell you please believe me I was, I didn't mean to......" she was interrupted by the door of her room being opened. I turned around to see Ken and Callie walk through. I smiled at them before I turned back to Angel. I kissed her cheek before I whispered in her ear, "I believe you and we shall talk about this at home." She nodded as I saw her wipe some tears from her face before I turned to greet Ken and Callie. Callie went to give Angel a hug as I gave Ken a hug and he asked, "Did we interrupt something?" "It is all good, no worries, buddy." I whispered back. We pulled away from the hug as he nodded at me. He then walked over to Angel to give a hug. She didn't let go right away so Ken sat on the bed as he held his sister close to him.

I gave Callie a hug hello then turned around to watch my buddy with his sister. Ken is the only one that I will never be jealous of with Angel. First, I know he is married with three kids, and he won't give that up for nothing. Second, I know that Angel has no siblings and Ken has been an older brother to her from day one. It has always warmed my heart that she has someone to look up as a sibling. I just smiled as they sat on the bed with Ken holding onto her. I can see the fresh tears coming to her eyes and I don't know why she is crying but it breaks my heart. I felt Callie put her hand on my arm, I looked at her with a smile as she smiled back at me. "How are things going?" she asked. Angel looked up at the sound of Callie's voice as she wiped some tears from her face. Ken looked down as she lifted her head from his shoulder to see her wiping the tears from her face. He reached up to wipe them off for her. She smiled up at him as he smiled down at her and then she laid her head back down on his shoulder. "Things are going great, we found out today that Angel gets to go home tomorrow." I said with a smile. Ken and Callie looked at her with smiles on their faces as Ken said, "That is great sis. I'm so happy for you."

"That is wonderful, I'm so happy for you. You do look so much better. How do you feel, Angel," Callie asked? "Thank you both, I'm more than happy to go home and way more than ready to get out of this place. I'm feeling better but I'm not where I need to be just yet." she said. "Hey, healing takes time sis. You have David that will help you, you have your parents, and you have us." Ken said as he rubbed her arm giving her some encouragement. Angel nodded her head she said, "Thank you and yes, I know that it will take time. How have you two been?" "We have been good, very busy but good. The kids are keeping both of us very busy. Oh, and Ken Jr misses you, Angel. He has been asking when he can see his Aunt Angel." Callie replied. "Awwww, I miss your kids as well. Tell Ken Jr that I miss and love him. I hope to see them soon. I know that I won't be able to play with them for at least a month or so." Angel said. "I will tell him for sure and hey even if you are able to see them one day that will make them all so happy. They don't mind not playing with you, it is just being around you that they love. So maybe when you feel up for it, we can bring the kids to you, and you can see them." "I would like that, Callie." Angel said with a smile.

I stood here listening to the conversation about Ken's kids and how they love Angel. It is great to hear it and I hope that one day we can have a family of our own. She has always been great with kids, and she is a mother without even being one. I smiled while watching Ken give Angel some comfort and support. I can see that she not only needed it but so did he. He has been so worried about her since this whole thing had started. Never mess with his family is what he always says. He is right about it; he is very protective over his family. I could cry knowing that Angel is having a good time since this whole nightmare got started. After about an hour of talking Ken and Callie said they should be getting home to get the kids from the babysitter. "Sarah is probably driving the babysitter up the wall," Callie said with a laugh. I started laughing with Ken as I saw Angel let out a chuckle. Then I saw her wince in pain and I thought of her side. She didn't say anything as she acted like it didn't happen. Once Ken and Callie gave their goodbye hugs, they left letting us know that they would check back in on us later.

I turned around to face Angel after they left to see her holding her side and the bed as her eyes were closed. I put my hand on her shoulder before I said, "Babe." "Lay down." I heard very low. I nodded as I helped her lay down on her back and she gripped my shirt. I sat down on the bed as she looked at me. She shook her head no, as I looked at her confused. "Do you want me to stand by you?" I asked, thinking that maybe it was too much weight on the bed. She shook her no once again as she tried to speak, "Lay.............." she said as she then took in another sharp breath. I knew the pain was about to get bad when I asked her, "Do you want me to lay down with you?" She grabbed my shirt tighter as I stood up to lay down with her. She laid her head on my chest as I held onto her the best that I could. She had one hand gripping the sheets as the other hand was gripping my thigh.

I rubbed her arm as I hummed a song to help calm her down. Next thing I know she let out a scream as she sat up then laid back down again. This was ripping my heart out as I watched her go through this, but I know that it will be over soon. "Shhhhh.......sweetie it will be over soon." I told her as I started rubbing her arm again. After a few moments that felt like hours, she started breathing normal again and she started to calm down. I watched as she kept her eyes closed as she was breathing slowly to keep herself calm. I thought she fell asleep when all of a sudden, she sat straight up. She winced in pain as I sat up to rub back before I said, "Angel, what is....." I was interrupted as she put her hand to her mouth, "I think I'm going to be...." was all she could say before she started to gag. I had the trash can in front of her as I said, "I know sweetheart, I know." I started rubbing her back as I talked to her softly, "Let it out sweetie, you will feel better when you do." I knew she was fighting it, but I knew if she let it out then she would feel better. Getting sick to her stomach is not something that she has ever been calm about but then again neither have I. We both panic if we ever start to get sick.

She gripped my thigh as she started throwing up and her body was shaking as she was crying. "It is okay Angel; it will be over soon. It's okay, I promise you it will be okay." Once she was done, she leaned her back on my chest as she cried. I put the trash can down as I put my arms around her. "I want it to stop, please make it stop David. Please make it all stop." she begged me through her tears. I started to tear up as I heard the pain in her voice, but I have to make sure I don't let it out because that will not make her feel better at this moment. So, I rubbed her arms as I told her, "I know you want it to stop, and it will. It will take time, but it will stop." She turned some so she could put her head over my heart as I brought one hand up to her hair. I then leaned us back down on the bed as she cried in my arms. Soon the cries got less and less. I looked down to find that she had cried herself asleep. As long as she was in my arms, I would let her sleep.

I didn't know that I had fallen asleep till I felt a hand on my shoulder. I jumped a little when I remembered that Angel was in my arms. I didn't want to hurt so I laid as still as I could. I turned my head to see mom standing next to me with a smile on her face. I smiled back before I let out a yawn. "Hello," I said. "Hello David." she replied as I looked down at Angel who was still sleeping in my arms. "David," I heard as I turned my head to look at mom. "Visiting hours will be up in 10 mins." I looked at her a little confused as I thought about her words. "How long have I been asleep?" I asked so confused. "Well, we don't know when you fell asleep, but from what Angel said you have been sleeping for a few hours." mom said. "Angel woke up?" I asked her a little concerned as to why I was not woken up. "Yes, she woke up about an hour after we got here. She didn't want to wake you up because she thought that you hadn't been sleeping much since this whole thing started. She also ate something light and then fell back to sleep in your arms." I just looked at mom and then back at Angel. How can she be worried so much about me when she is the one in the hospital, I thought to myself.

I nodded at mom as I slowly got up from the bed with Angel. She moved a little but then settled back into bed. I kissed her on the head before I whispered to her, "I'll see you in the morning to take you home my sweet Angel, I love you." I then stood up and walked out with my parents. When we got into the elevator I asked them, "Did she tell you that I get to take her home tomorrow?" "Yes, she did, and she is way more than happy to get out of here. But she is more excited to be home with you again. Do you want to take her home or do you want to stay with us for a little bit?" Dad asked. "I'm more than happy and excited to get her home. Thank you, Dad, but I think I'll take her home with me. If she wants to come to stay with you both I won't tell her no, but I think I'll take her home." I said with a smile. "That makes sense and if you need us, we are a phone call away." Mom said. "Thank you both." I said as the doors opened. We all walked to our cars, drove back to their house and then I went right to bed. The faster that I get to sleep the faster tomorrow comes and I get to take my Angel home.
