Chapter 106 - Peace

They had their lunch on the way and drove to muttukadu beach. Arjun kept the beach visit as a surprise for Shalini as he knew Shalini loved beaches.

Arjun parked the car at a distance where they could identify it as a beach.

Shalini: Arjun beach.. She squealed.

Arjun: ama yerangu.. 

She got down quickly, not minding the others. 

Sruthi: Amma unaku 1 peran 1 pethi illa.. 1 peran.. 2 pethi.. She spoke seeing Shalini walking fastly even before kids. 

Jaya: ena di solara?

Sruthi: apram ena kolanthainga epdi poguthu ava epdi poranu paru..

Sruthi: Ama ma.. She said with a smile.

Sruthi: athu veetuku poi kamikaran ipa va.. Inga poi photo edukala..

She dragged Jaya ma with her.

Shalini stood on the seashore letting the waves touch her feet, giving her a warm feeling and making her sigh in relaxation. Arjun came and stood beside her and watched her hugging herself and tapping her feet in the water to wash the mud. Her face was more calm and glowing than usual.

Arjun: yen Shalini Coimbatore la iruka apa tha beach illa.. Beach patha excite ava Inga tha Ivalo beach iruka inum ah excite agara..

Shalini: athu enanu therila Arjun intha beach matum evalo time pathalum bore Adika matinguthu..

Arjun smiled at her.

Shalini: mind uh heart uh evalo disturbed ah irunthalum inga vanthu ipdi ninu Inga wave sounds keta la calming ah iruku.. Thirumbi pora apa athu ella theenuthu etho oru puthu energy vantha ah mari iruku.. 

Arjun: Hmm Ama enaku apdi tha..

Shalini smiled at him and continued staring at the waves.

Appu: Arjun, Amma.. 

Both turned to find Appu and Nila running to them and the other three following them.

Nila: Mama va poi thannila vilayada la..

Appu: Ama Arjun va.. Amma niyum va..

Shalini: illa pattu ni po ma Saree Ella vina poirum..

Nila: Athai please niga vanga..

Shalini:  illa kutty niga ponga..

Arjun bent down and whispered something to both, both nodded enthusiastically and walked into the water with him.

Jaya: ena da ni pogalaya..

Shalini: illa top na kanchurum Saree Kayathu illa.. Atha apdiya ninutan..

Jaya nodded and moved back to settle on the sand with Vishwa appa and Sruthi.

Shalini stood wetting her feet and watching the trio play in the water. Arjun carried both the kids in his arms and dipped them in water whenever the waves were slow and lifted them when the waves were high making the duo giggle and laugh. Shalini saw so much happiness in Appu's face in these past few days right after Arjun's parents visited.

Lot of questions arouse in her mind, was she restricting all his happiness and the love that he deserved. By keeping him away from the family? Was she so selfish that she was not able to accept Arjun and give Appu his deserved happiness? But how could she accept him half- heartedly when something is restricting to do it?
