Chapter 125 - Family's Diwali

" dei, methuva po " Shalini yelled while walking into the house and Arjun followed them with a handful of bags.

It was the day before Diwali and they decided to celebrate together in both the houses and Shalini gave some reasons to her parents for not visiting them. And as they planned they were in Shalini's house today and Arjun took them for cracker shopping.

Once Arjun and Shalini settled on the couch placing the bags on the table, Appu ran downstairs after changing into his casuals.  He peeked into the bags and started taking out some crackers.

Shalini: dei enna panra?

Appu: na pattasu vedika poran..

Shalini: no first dinner Apram tha pattasu..

Appu: no first pattasu Apram dinner..

Arjun: ma vidan vettika tha vangu nathu vedikatum.

Shalini: vedika tum Arjun venda nu solala saptu vedika tum

Appu: Amma please ma nee dinner seira kula na vedichuruvan..

Arjun: Ama ma please vedika tum..

Shalini: enavo Panunga pathu vedinga..

Arjun: nee varalaya?

Shalini: na varala neenga ponga...

Arjun agreed and took Appu out while Shalini left to prepare dinner. 

Shalini walked out of the house to call them for dinner but stood smiling at the scene in front of her.

Even though Appu would be eager to blast crackers he feared for it just like his mother. She would fear for all the loud blasting crackers while Appu would fear even for the mild ones that would be fired at night.

Arjun was holding Appu in arms in such a way we would a kid to swirl and was holding the 'mathappu' over Appu's hand and fired one of the fancy crackers. And once it was done Arjun lifted Appu and moved away a little. Appu hugged Arjun's neck and had a wow expression when the cracker blasted in the sky and kissed Arjun's cheeks in excitement. This repeated thrice making Shalini stand rooted to ground, admiring them with a smile.

Appu: amma Amma Inga va super ah irukum..

Shalini smiled and walked to them.

Arjun: intha ma ne vei.. He said hoping she would fear.

But Shalini causally got it from him and fired the cracker Appu gave her, surprising Arjun. They spend some time bursting crackers.

Shalini: Aii poi Hand wash panitu mithathu touch Panunu..

She yelled to Appu who entered the house following when she felt a pull and dashed into a broad chest.

Shalini: Kai vidu pa Appu vara poran..

Arjun: vantha vanthutu poran..

Shalini sighed: seri enna venum.

Arjun: pattasu bayapadama veikaran.. Epa irunthu Ivlo thairiyam..

Shalini: mothala iruntha iruku..

Arjun: yaruku unakku?..Na enna Appu va nee enna sonnalum namba.. Enaku theriyatha Una pathi

Shalini: unmaiya tha ga solaran enaku intha patasu Ella bayam Ila sound ah vedikkum illa atha bayam.

Arjun: apdiya..

Shalini: Ama.. Athu ungaluku theriyathu.. Atha diwali anaiku nama hospital pona nala night vedikalaya.

Arjun: Oh Ama.. Cha ithu theriyama pochu..
