38. Horrible night

"Everything" you answered, locking his eyes with yours while your heart beat accelerating in your chest.

His eyelashes dipped as he hung his head low hiding his flustered face.

"Do you want to spend more time here?" He asked going back to his previous position and looked toward you.

"A little more" you answered, your voice so soft.

"And you are telling me now" Jackson's dad shouted at Jackson who was lying on the bed his head resting on the headboard.

"I didn't know they are dangerous. I thought someone is just playing game to take money"
Jackson said clutching onto the bedsheet.

"You were digging your own grave, you should have told me from the first day, it's all happening"

"I am sorry dad, I don't know what they want but they are so dangerous" Jackson said in fright.

"What do you think, who it could be" Jackson dad asked sitting on the bed next to him.

"I don't have any idea" Jackson  said frustatly.

Reaching to the car, Taehyung kept the food bag on the back seat while you sat inside the car. Taehyung also opened the car door to sit inside but halted listening to a sudden noise of footstep coming from the bushes. He suddenly turned his head. His eyes squeezed, he felt someone was there.

"What happend" You asked

"Nothing" he shook his head sitting inside on the driver seat.

The car slowly drove away from the lake and took the path of the highway. You looked out of the car window, giants tree were covering both side of the road, the fresh night breeze passing by.  There was not any car running on the road as the highway was out of the city and also it was night time.

As always the silence was filling the car but this time that didn't feel like every time. It was different, so different. It felt like so many things has changed between you and Taehyung in just one day. There was not the same tension surrounding both of you.

Suddenly the car stopped in the middle of the road and your eyes averted to the Taehyung.

Taehyung eyebrows knitted as he tried to start the engine

again and

again.

But the car didn't start. Taehyung get out slamming the car door while you jumped on the driver seat to look at Taehyung from window.

Crouching down on his knee, Taehyung checked all the tires.
Not finding anything wrong in tires, he stood up but his eyes twitched again listening to the same previous noise coming from behind the trees.

"Yn, comes out" he ordered standing on the same position, his voice filled with a trace of anxiety and his eyes roaming all around. He hurriedly took out his phone from the pocket and sent a message to jungkook with his current location.

"Taehyung, what happend" you asked closing the door while he jogged to you and grabbed your hand tightly. He started dragging you with himself out of the road in the forest shielding you with his large body looping his arms around your shoulder.

And seeing you and Taehyung running away, 4 men who was hiding behind the trees jogged in the direction of both of you.

"What happend Taehyung" you asked again as the sudden action by him was not defining anything to you but he didn't say anything and keep on dragging you more inside the forest.
