56. fear becoming true

After freshen up and changing the first thing taehyung did was to take you to the namjoon's house. The whole ride, he encouraged you telling your father would be so happy knowing that you were his daughter and he would accept you in fact hugged you as soon as he would know the truth and now you were knocking on the door holding your breath.

You looked back at taehyung and taehyung reassured you giving a blink to his eyes and turning his lips into thin line.

The door opened and you gulped looking at your father. He smiled brightly looking at taehyung and you. But his smile faded soon listening to you "Dad" he snapped his head in your direction from taehyung. You stood there staring at your father, your eyes became blurry as tears filled your eyes with thousand of emotions but in the next moment your dad looked away.

"What are you saying" he snapped, the words came out so harsh from his mouth. Taehyung took his steps ahead reaching to you

"She is your daughter. The daughter you are looking for. The daughter you wanted to meet so desperately" Taehyung said with so much hope in his eyes and your father eye's traveled from taehyung to you. He looked at you for a moment with eyes full of emotions but his eyes took a blink and his eyes didn't hold any emotions anymore.

"I will explain everything to you please let us come inside" taehyung said taking a more step further to go inside but in response your father stood caging the door with his both hands.

"What are you saying, I don't have a daughter, I never have a daughter" those words coming from your father mouth stabbed your chest. You became freeze. Your fear became true. He didn't accept you.

"Please don't say this" taehyung said but the door shut closed with a thudd sound on his face. Taehyung knocked the door kicked the door "Uncle, Please listen to me. She came here with so much hope please don't disappoint her, please listen to me"

Taehyung knocked the door continuously "taehyung let's go" you said taking heavy steps away from the house gulping down all your emotions but taehyung kept on trying telling your father to open the door. "Please, it took her a lot of courage to be here please don't do this with her"

"Taehyung please" your voice low filled with so much pain. Loosing all the hope that your father would open the door. Taehyung took her steps back frustatly and turned to look at your pitiful state.

"Let's go from here, please"

Taehyung nodded striding toward you and pulled your body in his arms.

You turned looking at your reflection in the mirror to look at your back then again faced the mirror, you stared at yourself for few seconds and then forcefully tugged your lip into thin line.

You inhaled deeply as you took the walk to reach the bedroom. You walked flawlessly in heels, the black dress hugging your body perfectly which goes down to your knee. You looked at taehyung who was sitting on the couch working on papers with his laptop on the side table. Coming back to mansion, you stay in your room while taehyung also stay beside you making sure you didn't cry making sure you were feeling okay. He couldn't do anything, he couldn't change what happened and how your father reacted but could at least stay beside you being your comfort. Beside the fact that he has a lot of dues work of company.

His eyes traveled to you and he leaved a breath, he smile genuinely, you gave a soft smile back. it was the same dress he told you to wear when you both were in California but you didn't wear that day but right now you were standing wearing the costume that he selected for you without covering your scars with layers of makeup. It was all in look and it was first time you were not ashamed of showing your scars but did he noticed it that it was the same dress.
