Chapter 65

It was Monday and Maddie had gotten her and Morgan ready, dropping her off at school watching as she ran in with her friends. Tapping her fingers on the steering wheel watching her hair bounce and her shoes light up with every stomp, "I'll have that one day....right?" She whispers to herself pulling out the of drop off lane heading back to the tower.

Walking onto her floor seeing Tony, Pepper, and Bucky all talking. "You guys are home early" walking closer towards them stuffing her phone into her denim jacket pocket. "Ended up being a very easy mission, a lot easier than we thought" Tony said with his arms close looking down at her.

"Beside the mission we need to have a talk, so let's go on inside and speak" nodding her head letting them walk in first sending Bucky a worried look. All of them seated on the couch looking between each other like a parent teacher conference "We're not upset we just want to know how you could forget about Morgan" Pepper says as she uncrosses her legs.

Findling with her thumbs under her shirt trying to hide the nerves, Bucky looking down at her wondering if she was going to tell them or make something up.

"I missscaried that afternoon and I just wasn't thinking my mind was else where" being truthful feeling Bucky hand slid to her lower back then up to her shoulders giving comfort.

Watching both of their faces fall, sadness creeping up on them "I would hug you if you liked hugs so I'm going to ask your boyfriend to hug you since you only hug him and Morgan" Tony said gesturing his hand from Bucky to Maddie.

"You can take the reminder of the week off Mads you don't need to work" Pepper says leaning forward rubbing her knee "I'm fine, I can work. Besides it helps, it keeps my mind off of it and makes me move and be active." Giving a tight lip smile.

"And it would be great if you didn't tell anyone, I'll tell everyone once I feel up to it"

"Of course our lips are sealed" Still rubbing her knee. "Thanks" putting her hand on hers. 

Walking to the team floor for dinner picking up Morgan as she came running down the hall to Maddie like she didn't see her 40 minutes ago. Picking her up putting her on her hip walking into the kitchen.

Everyone talking about the mission still since it was fresh. Wanda came up to Maddie putting her hand on the belly "So how did the-"  stopping her sentence looking down at the belly. Moving her hands around it to her sides then back to the front.

Throwing her head up to look at Maddie. Seeing Maddie biting her bottom lip giving the smallest nod, Wanda scrunching her face her bottom lip popping out like she was trying to not cry.

Turning her attention to Morgan "Hey Morgan can you give me and Maddie a minute?" Happily nodding her head hoping off her hip running over to the boys. Wanda and Maddie making there way out to the hall.

"I was going to ask earlier but I got so caught up in all the paper work. I am so sorry" wrapping her arms around Maddie.

Gently wrapping her arms around Wanda still feeling weird to hug her. "When did it happen?"

"Saturday afternoon" looking straight ahead at the elevators resting her chin on her shoulder. "I wish I would've known I wouldn't have gone on that mission"

"It's fine it gave me time to do it with Bucky and not have to worry about any of you guys asking questions" nodding her head pulling away at the sound of shoes getting closer. Both of them looking to see Nat.

"What's going on out here?" She questions looking between the two of them. Wanda looking over at Maddie waiting for her to answer "I-Um miscarried on Saturday"
