Don't Mess With Me

Chapter 145

Walking into the apartment after having a girls day seeing Bucky passed out on the rug in front of the TV as it plays a cartoon show. Quietly closing the door and slipping her heels off walking to him seeing Willow curled up under his arm with her head resting on his chest and then Ava on the other side laying on his arm with a binkie in her mouth and half of her hair out of her pigtails. Then laying on his stomach was Alpine curled into a tight white ball. 

Smiling as she takes a quick video and a photo of them then laying a baby blanket over her girls letting them continue to sleep. Lowering the volume on the TV knowing Bucky must have had a rough time with them to have the TV on, with them being a little more lenient with screen time. 

Grabbing a book from her bookshelf walking back out to curl up on the couch waiting for one of them to wake up. 

Hearing a loud squish as she pops her head up to see Ava twisting in Bucky arm "That was a wet one" laying back down going to her book listening to the soft cooes Ava let out as she drifts back to sleep. 

Hearing a small grunt after getting almost half way though her book. Looking up seeing Bucky starting to wake up. Watching as he turns to look at Willow completely passed out giving her a kiss on top of her curls then turning giving a kissing to Ava then another, before turning his head to look around spotting Maddie. Giving a small smile as she puts her book down as moving to him. 

Getting on her knees behind his head looking down at him "Sleep good?" nodding his head "What time is it?"

"3:30" his eyes widening "What?" whispering to him "We laid down here at noon"

"Looks like you four all missed lunch then" trying to not laugh to loud as she stands to make them some lunch knowing the moment Bucky moves them they are going to wake up. "Alpine move" he whispers making Maddie giggle watching his hand try to push him off. Watching him stand and gently place both of the girls on the couch with a long pillow on the edge to keep them from falling as he stretches to help make lunch. 

Lazily wrapping his arms around her waist resting his chin on her head. "Did you have a good time with your friends" 

"Ya I did" giving a quiet 'good good' then giving a kiss to her head. Maddie phone buzzing on the coffee table "Shit" running over to get it before the girls woke up "Hello?" answering it without even see who was calling watching her girls stir before falling back asleep. 

"Hi I am calling for Madison Barnes?"

"This is she" walking to Bucky who was watching from the kitchen "Hi this is Rose Sinclair calling from Alliance for Children" Maddie eyes shooting up grabbing Bucky hand dragging him to the bedroom to get away from the girls putting Rose on speaker "Hi yes yes, how are you" her legs shaking as she tries to pace 'Adoption Agency' she mouths to Bucky watching him now connect the dots since he didn't who was on the phone. 

"I'm good thanks for asking. I was calling to inform you that a woman by the name of Summer Strong has chosen you and your husband James Barnes." Maddie jumping up and down smiling with tears falling as she looks at Bucky smiling at her leaning down lifting her to hug "That's amazing!" almost shouting into the phone. 

"Ho-how far along is she?" asking as Bucky kissing her neck and cheek. "She is currently 18 weeks along, she is due end of November"

"Do-do you know the gender or is that something we wait until the baby is born or-or-or-sorry I can't speak right now" hearing Rose laughing on the other side of the phone "No worries it a big deal I get it, she has her notes that she does the know the gender but she is wanting to tell the parents in person"
