When time froze

Chapter 26

I saw Leslie sitting next to Ashton. the group of people where laughing and having a fun time. i turned to Paige and said "Leslie did not kill him...i don't believe you."

"Well she did" she said with a serious tone.

"Why would she?....wait how do you know?" I asked.

"Ask her" she said, pointing at her.

I looked over at Leslie again and sighed then stood up and walked over to her on the couch. I stood next to her and whispered in her ear "can I talk to you in private?."

She turned to me and nodded then she stood up and we walked over to the dinning room that was right next to the kitchen.

Once we got there I asked her "did you kill Isaac?."

"Yup" she said, casually.

My eyes widened and I said to her "what, why?."

"It just would have been better for us.....i mean he tried to burn us" she answered.

"Ya but did you need to put me in a box with his dead body?."

"What...i didn't do that."

"Then who did?."

She shrugged her shoulders and then we heard Carl come out of the hallway yelling "I got it, lets go!."

We walked out of the dinning room and into the living room. Carl was holding up a necklace that had a obsidian turtle on it. "there it is" he said to himself. he looked at it with glee that he had found it.

He put it down and looked over to Kat and asked "Kat can you come here?."

She sat up and walked over to him. she stood in front of him and he had a big smile on his face. Without saying a word he took the necklace and put it over her head. It fell lightly on her chest and she looked down at it. she picked up the charm and stared at it for and while then looked up and said "thank you" then gave him a hug. Carl started crying tears of joy.

"This is gross" Paige whispered over to me. every one had an "awww" face on them.

Leslie walked over to Ashton and snuggled up to him while Havana and Scott did the same thing. I stood there alone, looking at them.

"Ok that was cute but now we have to go" Riley said ruining the moment.

They stopped hugging and Carl said "Ya your right."

Then Riley walked out and we followed. we walked over to the RV and sat in the same places we did before but Carl Stayed in the back with Kat and I went to the passenger seat.

"Hi" I said to my sister as I climbed into the seat.

"Hey" she said not looking at me and starting the RV up. I got into the seat and laid back.

"Where were you this whole time?" I asked her.

"Well I was in Atlanta for a while with mom and dad but-" she said getting cut off.

"Mom and dad.....where are they?...are they still alive?" I asked, cutting her off.

She looked down and her grip on the wheel got tighter. she said "there not alive anymore....the mist got to them and froze them but I got out in time."

My heart sunk and after she said they are not alive I did not listen afterwards...it was just a blur afterwards. my eyes started to fill with tears. I held them back and just said in a depressing tone, "lets um just go."

She started to drive and I looked out the window. We drove out of the town and ended up driving in the middle of no where. I leaned my head against the window and started out of it. I felt the cold glass against my forehead and I closed my eyes. not 1 minute after i closed my eyes, i lunged forward and into the dash board.

i looked over to my sister and said, rudely "what the hell!!."

She started at the window breathing heavily in relief with her hand tightly gripping the steering wheel. I looked out of the window to see what she was looking at. there was a guy about 1 inch away from the front of the RV, with a terrified look on his face. he had his hands up in a stop, motion.

He was wearing a black and green monster hat with a t-shirt and shorts on. he had blond hair with bangs that fell to the right and he had brown eyes. after we stopped, every one from the back walked up to the front with me and Riley. they all looked out the window and at the guy we almost hit.

"What's going on?" Leslie asked, walking up between Riley and mines seat.

"Riley almost killed someone" I said, pointing at the guy.

"He was in the my way so blame him" Riley said.

"Wait is that...." Kat said, pushing people to the side to get a better look at the person. when she finally got up to us and looked at the guy and had a surprised face on.

"Oh my god" she said then pushed everyone to the side again and went out the RV door. we followed her out and saw that she was looking at the guy. she slowly walked over to him and looking at him.

"Kat?" He asked, confused.

"Ethan?" She asked after him. his face lit with glee and she said that and her face also lit with glee. they ran up to each other and hugged each other. Carl looked slightly anger as he stepped beside me.

"Do you know him?" He asked in a jealous tone.

"No...do you?" I asked. he shook his head and we continued to watch the two of them. they stopped hugging each other and Kat turned to us.

"Guys this is Ethan" she said.

"Hi" he said.

"Ethan this is Aria, Carl, Leslie, Havana, Hana, Scott, Ashton, Paige, and Arias sister Riley" Kat said, pointing at us as she said out names.

"Hi" we all said at the same time.

"If you don't mind me asking" Carl said, taking a step closer to them, "but who are you?."

Kat looked at him nervously and looked back at Carl "huh.....Carl this is my EX boyfriend."
