When time froze

chapter 36

"is that--" I started saying as shock filled my body while we watched the fog come closer.

"get in the car, now!" Ethan said.

I ran to the door, opened it, then crawled in as Kat went into the back and closed the trunk then got inside. Ethan got into the front and started rolling up the windows. Kat go inside the back with me. "close every crack or hole you can see!" Ethan quickly said as he started taking his jacket it off.

I took off my jacket and plugged the edge of the window. Kat took off her jacket and did the same. I crawled into the back of the truck then took off my shirt, leaving me with a tank top, and stuffed it into the crack of the trunk. "I need more cloths!" I yelled.

"here!" Kat said then handed me a blanket that was under the seat. I took it then stuffed the rest of the bottom part of the trunk. I crawled backup to the back seat and Ethan had his shirt off as he plugged up the front. Kat took of her shirt, showing her sports bra, then plugged the rest of her side. by the time we were done, every hole or anything that let air in this car, was plugged. we sat, holding pieces of cloths so they would stick. we sat in silence and watched as the fog made its way to us. it slowly came to us and covered the car like a blanket. everything outside, we couldn't see and it was like we were in a thunder cloud. we looked outside while taking small, shaky breaths. we sat like this for 20 minutes until it uncovered us and we could finally see the outside. we all let out a breath of relief once it went by and disappeared.

"what the hell?" I asked, taking my shirt down and putting it back on.

"yeah, what is up with that. I thought that fog was only in the city?" Kat said, putting her shirt back on.

Ethan had his shirt back on and was rolling the windows back down. "I don't know, but lets get back to Atlanta" Ethan said, crawling into the drivers seat.

we all nodded then Kat went up to passenger seat. "be prepared if anything happens" Ethan said, then he started the car and we drove off. 

-------------(9 hours later)------------

I slowly woke up from falling asleep in the car and saw that Kat and Ethan were both asleep in the front seats. I fell asleep in the car drive. I sat up and looked around the street and we were at the edge of some houses. it didn't look like a town so I didn't think it was. it was just some houses together with a park. I got up and opened the door then slowly snuck out of the car and onto the road. I closed the door then walked down the street to the houses. I walked into one of them and went to the kitchen then got some food that was there. I went and sat on the couch then laid down and stared at the ceiling as I ate some food. I thought. just thought about everything. I thought about giving up on what was happing but I have Kat and Ethan. I need to stay alive for them. I drifted to sleep and everything went black.

a few more hours later, Kat was shaking me to wake up. "Aria, get up. we don't have all day"

"yes we do" I mumble, then turned my back to her and closed my eyes again and tried to go back to sleep.

"get up. we need to go to Atlanta" she said, still shaking me.

"go without me" I said.

she sighed then grabbed my arm and ripped me off of the couch then started to drag me out the door. "get off of me" I said with a laugh.

"you wouldn't get up so you now have to deal" she said.

I started laughing and so did she as she dragged me down the stairs and across the lawn. "are you guys done?" Ethan said with a laugh.

"I don't know babe. does she look awake to you?" Kat asked with laughing in her words.

"not that much. I think she needs some more dragging around. here, ill help" Ethan answered while laughing, then he came over to us and took me feet then lifted me up and they both swung me around the yard.
