When time froze

chapter 32

I started to burst into tears as the gun shots kept going off.  she laid still and I just sat there. I sat there for what felt like 10 minute's, until the gun shots stopped. I looked up while wiping away tears and saw that Jake, Quinn, Adam, and Jackie were dead while everyone else was breathing heavily. they turned to me and Carl ran over to me and sat on the other side of the body along with every one else. "what happened?" Leslie asked, quickly while running over to the body.

"s-she was trying t-to help but g-got shot" I stuttered out while wiping away tears.

Leslie looked up at me with tears filling her eyes. she stood up, turned away, and walked a few steps away while Aston followed behind her and wrapped her in his arms around her waist and kept saying "its ok. calm down." every one looked at her then looked back at the body.

"we cant do anything" Carl said.

"we cant leave her" I stated. "we have to do something with the body. its not like Havana and Scott. her body is not burned to a crisp."

"can I talk to you alone?" he asked, a little quieter.

I paused then said "fine" and got up then walked away from the body and behind the tree, far enough so no one could hear us.

"what?" I asked.

"Leslie is having a hard a time. if we do anything with the body, it will kill her" he said.

"if we don't do anything with the body, she will die" I stated.

"I know but I don't think right now is a good time to start talking about it or doing anything. Leslie is slowly dying, she just lost both of her friends."

"you don't think I know that? alright. I am not having such a good time either, I mean, I also just lost my friends" I said, starting to tear up.  

"are you ok?" he asked.

"do I look ok?" I said, starting to cry. he came up to me and hugged and cradled me. "its ok."

I bust into tears on to his shirt as I hugged him tighter. he pulled me to sit on to the ground and I sat on my knees still crying. he backed away a little then put his hands on my neck and looked at me in the eyes and said "its ok. its going to be ok. it does get better."

I looked into his eyes and slowly stopped crying. as I looked at him, I leaned in and his lips touched mine. we started kissing and neither one of us pulled away. I put my hands on his head and in his hair as he put his hands on my waist and pushed me onto the ground. I laid on the ground as he laid on top of me and still kissing me. we stayed like that for what felt like a long time, till I heard Kat yell from far away "guys come on!"

we stayed like it for an extra 2 minutes until we heard her yell again "guys!" 

he pulled away and looked at each other. "uh..." was all I could manage to say.

"shit" he whispered to him self. "I am so sorry" he said while standing up. "fuck. I cant believe I did that. shit!" he yelled.

"it was my fault" I said, standing up.

"no it wasn't. shit. I am such and idiot. I have to go" he said, angrily then ran off.

I paused for a little then walked back over there. once I got over there, I heard Ethan say "what took you guys so long?"

"uh...what.. um nothing. it was a long argument" I stuttered.

he just looked back down and I saw Leslie walking over to us. while she was walking over to us, she was saying "we are going to burn the body."
