When time froze

Chapter 31

I could not stop crying. my tears just kept coming out. I wrapped my arms tighter and tighter around Carl. I could just hear the crying sounds of Leslie from far away and Ashton tried to comfort her. I looked back over to the fire and saw 4 people like shadows, come out of the truck before it fully bursted into flames. they ran far away from the truck. I slightly started to get up while wiping away my tears. Carl started to get up with me.

"W-who is t-that?" I asked, while stuttering.

Carl stepped in front of me and squinted his eyes at the people. "I don't know."

He started to walk towards the car and the people. everyone looked at him and started to follow until we all were running at the figures. the figures started to run once they saw all of us. we chased them down the street as we started to get closer and closer to them. I was running behind what looked like a guy, while everyone else ran behind other people. I was really close to him, as he started to slow down then I reached my hand out and grabbed the edge of his hoodie which made him fling back. he fell to the ground and i stood over him as I finally saw who it was. it was jake. (if you don't remember him, re-read chapter 1.)

My eyes widened and he glared up at me. he suddenly lifted up, quickly and started to run again but I stopped him by tripping him and tackling him. I say on top of him, holding him down, as he struggled to get away. the rest of the group already took down the others. "get the fuck off of me!" He yelled while trying to get away. His breath smelt, badly of alcohol.

Ashton came over to me, and helped me get jake standing up. he stood up but Ashton held his arms so he could not get away. we met up with he rest of the group and saw that Leslie had Quinn, Paige had Jackie, and Ethan had Justin. the 3 of them looked beaten up and bad. Leslie was looking at Quinn like she was going to kill her.

"What the hell are you three doing here?" I asked with anger towards them.

They said nothing and just looked at me. "say something, or I am going to fucking KILL YOU!" Leslie yelled at them. she was still angry about Havana and Scott.

"What are you doing here?" Paige asked.

I was about to yell something but I was cut off once I noticed that Justin had Josh's bright, green survival bracelet on. i looked at it and asked "where did you get that?."

"Get what?" He asked, stuck up.

"That bracelet" I answered, looking at the bracelet.

"Oh, your good old friend Josh gave it to me, well kinda" he replied.

"Did you kill him?" I asked.

"Eh" he said.

"What do you mean. what the hell happened" i said, getting angery.

"Well we all joined in" jake said.

I was shocked and I could feel myself getting tense and more angery. I stepped forward and swung my fist into the side of Justin's face. he turned his face and I started to go after him again but Carl pulled me back away from him as I struggled to try and hit him again. "aria calm down!" Carl screamed at me.

"No! he killed Josh! Let me go!" I yelled.

"Not just Josh" Quinn said, with a smirk.

I stopped and stared at her while quietly saying "my sister."

She winked at me and smiled more then I started to go after her but Carl held me back as my eyes filled with tears. "fuck you!" I yelled at her. She started to laugh and it made me more angry so I tried harder to try and get her. "calm down!" Carl yelled.
