When time froze

Chapter 17

Ring...ring....ring!!!. We leaned over and watched it vibrate on the coffee table. "is any one going to answer it?" Kat said sarcastically. the thing about having all of time froze is that phones don't work. there is no power for anything. the only time you find a TV or computer on is when it was left on when time froze. After a minute of watching a phone, it finally stopped. "well" Kat said "what do we do now?."

"It was ringing" Isaac said nervously.

"Wow!!! Really.... no way I just thought it was elephant hunting" Kat said sarcastically again.

"Ok... let's just ignore it" I said trying to make things better.

We sat there in silence again for a little then Ring....ring....ring!!!. We looked at it again. "holy shit, it's ringing again!!" Emma said scarily.

"It's ok.... just come down" I answered also very scared.

"Oh my god" Carl said horrified. every one kept freaking out then Kat said "Guys seriously come down" then she picked up the phone.

"Hello?" She said into it. we heard deep breathing for the past 2mins. Then finally we heard a "um Ya is a girl named Aria Sanders there?."

She looked at me and replied "yes."

"Oh um can I please talk to her?, it's an emergency" the voice said said.

She handed me the phone and said sarcastically "it's for you."

I took it rudely out of her and put the cold, silver phone to my ear. "hello?" I asked.

"Are you alone?" They asked.

That was enough for me to Hang up. I slammed to back onto its holder thing on the table. "what the hell Aria.... break it why don't you" Kat said angrily.

"Sorry I did not want to answer that" i replied.

"What did they say?" Carl asked from the other side of the couch. Ring.... ring...ring!!!. We heard again. "ugh" Kat said then she grabbed the phone and threw it at the wall. it shattered to pieces when it hit the red wall. "rage quit much" Emma said.

"Oh and your yelling at me for almost breaking it?" I said sarcastically mad.

"What the fuck was that for?" Carl said.

"I don't want no creepo talking to us so the only option I saw was to kill the phone before the pervert killed us" Kat said to all of us. then she walked into the kitchen and opened up the refrigerator. "is there anything good to eat?" She said while looking through it.

We looked at each other in shock but Isaac just looked like it was an every day kinda thing. we heard the refrigerator door shut and then she opened all the cabinets that looked like they were filled with food but she still could not find anything to eat. "God how did these people live with no good food?" She said while looking in a cabinet.

We looked at the remains of the phone. "Can you tell me again why your dumb ass did that?" Emma said while pointing at the broken phone.

"I told you" Kat said then she leaned against the door way frame "I killed the phone before the person on the phone killed us."

"How did you know they were gonna kill us?" Carl asked.

"Listen hot shot" she said then slowly starting to walk towards him as he walked backwards "I just saved all of you guys life so you should be thanking me." when she was done talking to him she was death staring him. it looked like she was trying to star two wholes into his body.

"Alright" she said in a clear and more understanding darth vador voice.

"Ya got it" Carl answers In a frustrated tone.

"Good" she finally replied in a perky voice. she walked back into the kitchen and Carl sat down. We felt a small movement, that moved the whole house, for 3 seconds or less. it shook the house just a little, it felt like a very small earth quake. we looked around at each other confused, and Kat stood in the door that lead to the hallway and the kitchen.

"Did you feel that?" Emma asked.

"Ya" we all said slowly.

Then we got up and walked outside. we stepped on to the front porch. "what was that?." Carl said. I started to smell a kinda smokey smell, like something was burning.

"Does anyone smell that?" I asked.

"Ya I do" Isaac replied. we walked down to the end of the drive way and I saw something bright out of the corner of my eye. "holy shit" Kat said stepping back. I turned and saw a house 4 yards down, covered from top to bottom in flames.

"What the hell?" Carl said staring at it. I looked Emma and the look in her eyes was shocked like she never saw fire before. I turned to Kat and she looked at it like it was cool and bad Ass. I looked at Carl and he was looking at Kat with a kinda cool but still a little shocked look. Isaacs look was different from every one else's. I looked at his brown eyes from a distance and he had a sad but a "you deserved it" look on.

We looked at the house turn to ashes little by little not even thinking of putting it out. I heard a loud shatter of glass come from behind me. all of us turned our heads quickly and saw someone more shocking than a burning house, with a piece of glass in there hands, covered in blood.
