When time froze

Chapter 11

We looked at the dark trees in front of us. every one was terrified. we could here the howling of wolves. I was looking around left, right, then left and right again. then something caught my eye. I looked to my right and saw an arm. it was half an arm and covered in blood. it was Delilah's. I could tell from the two bracelets she had when she died. We just stood there in front of the cave and then Erin said "now do you know why this was a bad idea."

"Shut up Erin I am thinking" carl snapped back.

"Can you hurry up on that" havana said in a nervous voice. we heard the wolfs howling, keep getting closer and closer. "um Carl a idea now would be nice" Leslie said.

"Um...." we saw two green, shiny dots in the darkness of the trees then a slow, low growl "RUN!!!" Carl said and we all ran to our right. we just ran fighting off tree branches and dodging wolfs that jumped out at us. we got to a plain, flat area and heard the wolfs behind us. we just ran into the flat field until we heard a loud guy voice "help me." we turned around and saw Erin's leg stuck in a rock.

"Help me my leg is stuck" he yelled at us. he was at least half a mile behind us, I guess we where to focused on running to hear him. we ran back for him and we tried to get him out. havana and carl was taking him by the arms and waist pulling him upwards, while me, Leslie, and Cody tried pull the rock off his foot.

The growling of wolfs came closer to us but they still hid in the forest.

"What do we do the wolfs are coming" Leslie said.

"We need to stay and help him" Havana grunted in effort, "we are not leaving him."

"Where going to die if we stay" Leslie said. we kept trying and trying until Leslie, Cody and I pulled up the rock and Leslie slipped then rolled down the little hill we were on the side of. "Leslie!!" Cody yelled and ran after her. havana fell to the ground and Erin fell on top of her. Carl stepped back and just sat there on my knees breathing heavily. Carl, Havana and Erin were also breathing heavily.

"Are you alright?" Erin asked Havana.

"Ya you?" She said back.

"Yup." then he sat up and Havana got up and we were all our of breath.

"We need to get out of hear" carl said looking at the woods. we heard some more growls but they where quieting down.

"Yea we do." Erin said then he stood up but fell down again on to the ground.

"What's wrong?" Havana asked in a worried voice while bending down to help him.

"My ankle hurts" Erin said.

"Get him up I can hear the wolfs getting closer" carl said.

"I-I can't, I think he twisted his ankle" havana said in what seemed like a sad voice but I could not tell.

"Here" I said then I went on the other side of Erin and put his arm around my shoulders then helped him up. and havana did the same to the other side of Erin. we helped him limp over to Leslie and Cody. Cody was whispering something to Leslie and they were tightly holding hands.

"We ready to go?....and even if where not we have to" carl said.

"Yea" Cody said. then we walked off. Havana and I where still helping Erin limp. Carl, Leslie, and Cody were ahead of us, mostly because we where being really slow. they where talking and Cody had his arm around Leslie and they were laughing about something. carl was walking kind of fast and we where trying to catch up with him. we finally, slowly caught up to them, well barely, and Leslie and Cody asked to help. I think they could tell that out shoulders were starting to hurt and get tired from caring him. they took our place and walked behind Havana and I. carl was still slightly ahead of us but he was still really close. we walked in silence until carl stopped and looked at I think was a building. it was dark and I could not tell that great.

Leslie and Cody stood beside havana and Cody asked "what's wrong?" Then Cody looked up at the building thing.

I realized what it was at that point.
