Alex's pov
Since we don't own a grill,we decided to have the barbecue at Krist's parents house.they didn't mind though,because they enjoyed our company.while Krist's dad barbecued(and gave Dave some tips),aunt Marie was chatting with Krist's mom,and Krist was playing football with Greg and Aaron.I decided to read,since I had some time to finally read.I noticed Kurt sat down next to me,but didn't say anything.he just sadly looked at the guys playing,I sighed and closed my book."let's go for a walk Kurt."I suggested,"I don't wanna."he pouted.I stood up,"trust me,you do."i said.I put the book down on the bench and forced Kurt up,we walked down the steps and away from the house.
We began to walk down the street,a street I was familiar with,not saying anything at first."Kurt,something's going on with you."i spoke,"you can tell me anything,I'm your friend."i assured him.he stopped walking,he looked down at the ground and then at me."I...think I'm in love."he confessed,I widened my eyes."with who?"I asked curiously,he looked back down at the ground again."it happened on tour."he began to explain,he proceeded to explain how during tour he ended up chatting with a girl name Courtney(who is in a band called Hole)."have you tried calling her?"I asked,he shook his head no.a part of me felt like there was something off about this Courtney woman,but another part of me wanted to be supportive.so,I encouraged him to call her.
