Loving in Another Universe (The Friend Zone Series 1)

Five minutes lang ang binigay sa amin na time para maghanap ng partner. "Two minutes left," the teacher said. I cursed in my head since there is no time for me to choose between Matthew and Luna. 

Without hesitation, si Luna na lang pinili ko dahil nakakaawa naman kung ang new student ay wala partner. Si Matthew naman marami friends dito kaya maiintindihan naman siguro niya yun, right?

Anyways, I chatted them both already and told my answers genuinely.

"Ah, okay lang! I understand naman. Just text or call me if ever nahihirapan ka, ah?" Matt said in our chats and

I saw his smile on the screen telling me like he is fine. Sana nga.

Ngumiti din ako pabalik.

On the other hand, Luna replied immediately and keyboard smash its response.

Luna: AHhhh weh? serysooooo?!?!?! taena teka akala ko may nahanap ka na iba kaya hindi ka na nag reply eh. T-T

Hindi siya naka on-cam ngayon dahil nag lag na daw siya on her end. Sayang hindi ko makita reaction niya. I found her keyboard smashing cute too. 

Luh parang sira ka naman, Stella ?! Pati ba naman sa keyboard na cute-an... kanina ay yung sa salute...Bruh sana okay ka pa... okay ba ako? No, sadyang na cute-an lang ako sa ginawa niya. periodt!

"10 seconds left and I hope you already found your partners already," dahil sa pagsalita ni ma'am, napa blink ako dalawa beses para magising na siguro sa realidad at huwag maging tanga ngayon.

I responded to Luna's reaction message with a smile plastered on my face. "Yep! Nag iisip pa kasi ako kung sino gusto ko maging partner eh, good thing nag message ka din."

Na seen niya agad ang chat ko pero hindi na nag reply dahil si ma'am ay nagsalita na hays panira.

"Now if ever you do not have a partner yet, just message me. Well, I assumed that all of you have partners since your class have equal numbers of students, right?" We nodded as a response.

"The Battle of the Bands is approaching on February 14 of next year, and we need two pairs from this class to perform as the class representatives," the teacher said of the project.

Kakanta kami, of course. And I'm so bad at that shit!!

Sorry, cute na dancer lang ambag ko. Pake ko ba dyan sa battle of the bands, eh si Kiro nga ang nagturo sa akin kung paano mag play ng gitara.

"You and your partner should perform two songs about the theme(s) you selected; the songs may only be in English or Tagalog. The video must be divided, and I will grade you using the provided rubrics." Okay, I knew it.

"Whether the theme will be a love song, heartbreak song, kung ano na lang gusto niyong genre, basta dapat two songs siya." 

"Naturally, the team that receives the highest marks from both your music teacher and I will represent your strand in the upcoming battle the following year. The videos must be submitted by January 25, 2021. On this project, I hope you will all work together. The filename will shortly be shared. Your music teacher will give more details, okay?" dagdag pa niya.

Sasabihin ko na lang mamaya siguro kay Luna na dapat matalo kami para hindi sumali sa competition or whatever.

After the 1 hour long discussion of PerDev class, I literally throw myself on my bed dahil pagod na ako kakaisip ano maganda themes for the songs that we will sing before chatting Luna. Prepared palagi ang lola niyo hehe. 

May parang naisip na ako, eh. Nasa tip of my tongue na talaga pero ang hirap sabihin ano yun.

Nakatulala lang ako sa kisame nang bigla tumunog ang cellphone ko. Kinuha ko iyun sa ibabaw ng lamesa at tinignan ang laman ng notification.
