(Pretend that Veronica isn't in that back ground)

Third person POV
Betty, Jughead, Archie, and Veronica all raced to the edge of sweet water river.

"Cheryl, come over to this side! We'll figure this out together!" Veronica shouted.

Cheryl began to walk over to them as the ice started to crack around her. Archie raced out to try to help her and Veronica ran after him. The faster he ran, the faster the ice cracked.

Cheryl ran toward him and Veronica, but they all got too close. There was a huge crushing noise and Veronica was gone. She was under the ice.

Her terrified boyfriend started to scream for help. Betty and Jughead ran into the ice. Archie ran over to the hole and tried to reach and grab her.

"Archie! The current has her!" Jug shouted.

"No, no, no, NO!" Archie yelled as he ran and scooped the snow off of the ice and try and find where his girlfriend went. The gang split up and began to scrape the snow off the ice to find the raven haired girl.

It has been about 50 seconds with Veronica under the ice and there was no sign of her.

"Archie! She's here! Come quick!!" Betty screamed. Betty began to cry as she saw her best friend barely alive under the ice.

Archie sprinted over and moved the snow from the ice. His friends stood back while he began to punch the ice with his bare fists. Blood was everywhere and Archie didn't even flinch at the pain. Betty was crying and Jughead was on the verge. Archie started screaming and screaming. He saw her. He saw her unconscious body sinking through the ice. He had to get to her. He had to save her.

"Arch, be careful!!" Jughead warned.

Archie started banging the ice harder and harder.

He punched harder. He screamed louder. He finally broke through the ice. He reached under the water and grabbed the collar of her jacket. It was freezing cold. He had chills through his entire body. He pulled her body out of the river as fast as he could and ripped off his letter jacket and wrapped it around her. She was unconscious. There was water, ice, and blood everywhere.

Archie couldn't find a pulse, or he was just panicking. "No. Her heart isn't beating. No, NO!" Archie was crying and he couldn't breathe.

He laid her on the ice and started doing CPR on his unconscious girlfriend. Jughead was holding Betty as she cried from a distance and Cheryl ran off to get help, witch never came.

The CPR wasn't working. "Ronnie, please, come on, hold on for me, please. Please hold on." Archie begged. Tears trickled down his face. Archie kept trying and trying. "I love you Ronnie."

All of a sudden Veronica started choking. Choking up the cold water from her lungs.

Archie grabbed her and sat her up in his lap while she threw up tons of water. Her lips and face were purple and while. All of the life was sucked right out of her. Not only was she vomiting up water, but she was terrified of what was happening. She was shaking because of the cold and because of the anxiety. He grabbed her head and sat her up and held her in his lap. He rubbed her back and tried his best to keep her upright. She didn't have much control over her weak body.

She was also crying. Crying hard. She couldn't catch her breath because of all the water that she was throwing up. It was a frightening situation for everyone, especially Veronica.

"Hey, Ronnie, hey. It's okay. You're okay. I got you. I won't let anything happen to you." He said to her as he rubbed her arms to try and give her some warmth.

Veronica kept coughing and closed her eyes. She then attempted to wrap her weak arms around Archie but she couldn't. Archie carefully picked her up and they began to run back to Archie's truck. Archie ran as fast as he could to the truck carrying her limp body.

"Betts, help me with the door."

They opened up the door to Archie's truck and laid down Veronica in the back seat with Jughead holding her head and Betty sitting next to them.

Archie drove fast to get Veronica to his house.

He kept looking back to make sure she was breathing. She was holding on, but she was freezing cold. Betty was holding her hand and Jug was trying to hold her head upright.

Betty was stroking her best friend's hand, "V, it's okay, were gonna get you to Archie's house and get you warm. Just stay with me okay?"

They finally made it to Archie's house. Veronica was slipping in and out of consciousness. They just needed to get her warm and dry. Jughead helped Archie bring Ronnie through the front door and down by the fireplace in the Andrew's living room. Mr. Andrews rushed downstairs .

"Oh my God, Veronica. What happened?" Archie looked at his dad and shook his head while Betty gave him the run down of what had happened. Mr. Andrews then ran to the kitchen to prepare some warm soup and call Hermione. Veronica is like a daughter to Fred and he was worried sick.

Archie stated to dry her off with towels and better put her hair up in a messy bun. She was still shaking uncontrollably and couldn't control her movements very well. Jug ran upstairs and grabbed a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt of Archie's. While Jug and Archie ran to grab blankets, Betty helped her change into the new, dry, clothes.

Archie came back and embraced her gently with a warm blanket hug. She still didn't talk. She just rested her head on Archie's shoulder as they sat by the fire. She was really shook up from today.

Archie told Betty and Jug that it might be best for them to go home so Ronnie could get some rest, and so they did.

Archie's POV
After they left, I helped Ronnie up and we walked slowly to the couch and she laid her head right on my lap. I wrapped my arms around her and smiled.

She looked up and spoke quietly, "Archie, I love you. Thank you for saving me today. I don't know what I'd do with you."

I kissed her gently on the forehead. "Ronnie, I love you more. I'm just so glad that you're okay. I was so scared of losing you."

"Don't worry about me Archiekins. I'm okay and it's all because of you." I smiled at her and I began to rub her back. "Get some sleep, okay? You need some rest, Ronnie."

Veronica closed her eyes and snuggled up to me. I held her on the couch and rubbed her back as she fell asleep. It was late. Maybe 11 o'clock. I turned on the TV and flipped through until I landed on Friends. Classic.

Veronica was out cold on my lap when my dad walked in from the kitchen. "I called Hermione and told her what had happened. She's out of town but will be back tomorrow. I told her that Veronica is okay and safe staying with us. She wanted me to tell you thank you for saving her too." He then looked down at the passed out Veronica who was snoring softly. "I'm assuming she won't want that soup anymore." My dad smiled.

I let out a soft laugh. "It was a good try. Thanks for calling Mrs. Lodge, dad. I think I'm just going to stay down here and sleep. So then I can keep an eye on her and she can be by the fire."

"Okay Arch. If you or Ronnie needs anything, just let me know. I'll be upstairs. Goodnight." He responded.

"Night, dad."

I reached over and grabbed another blanket and wrapped it around the both of us. I tried to make myself as comfortable as possible with Ronnie sleeping on my lap. The TV stayed on and I began to doze off to the sound of one of Phoebe's off-tune songs...
