Hawks POV:

Once out of his room. I thought about how scared and lonely his eyes were. That's when I started putting two and two together. A woman who worked at the brothle gave me a cowboy hat from storage. So that the harsh light from the oil lanterns wouldn't keep me awake. With my back against the wall, and the hat over my face. I drifted off to sleep by his door. Early in the morning I awoke to the creek of it opening.

"Morning sunshine, sleep well?"

"You're still here."

"Of course, I never leave a job until it's finished."

With a soft smile. I tried to reassure him. That's when he grabbed my hand and walked me to the back yard. Where he corners me against the wall.

"You should've left when you  had the chance cowboy. Now everyone knows-"

"That I'm gay? I don't mind. Someone has to protect you from the blue eyed bandit. I figured out that your father is behind your boyfriend's death. That's why you test and push people away. You feel responsible for what happened.  Now you use a method to chase gay men away to save them. Am I right?"

His eyes look down.

"How did you know?"

"I can see the story in your eyes. While reading the hints given from the people who care for you."

"If you really want to protect me...... You're gonna need to know how to ride a horse and shoot a gun cowboy~."

He moves aside. So I walk out a few steps, turning back with a smirk.

"Oh I can shoot better than anyone in town. See those ropes holding up the sign for the stables? Don't blink."

The sign was about a quarter of a mile away. Natsuo squints to see it, but I have no trouble. With a quick draw of my revolver. Two shots fire but only sound like one. Cutting the ropes in one go.

"If you fire a gun fast enough. It'll only sound like one bullet."

I turned around to see the look of steady aim. With a gun in his hand. I look to see where he's pointing. The shot goes off but I don't see what he hit.

"Tell you what. Teach me how to ride a horse and I'll teach you how to shoot."

"Only if you promise to stay long enough to milk dad of every dime he has."

"You got a deal partner."

With a shake of hands. We head into town for the day.

3rd person pov:

As the two men walk away. Laying on the ground two hundred feet away in a butterfly cut in half by a bullet.
