Wow. I might as well take my manliness and give it to this girl. She has shocked me. I thought I had the control and this was going to move at my pace but she has made her position in my life very clear.
The bracelet I so willing gave her was a gift my mother gave me the day she finalised her divorce with my father. The pack of 3 was to remind me that we're a family when thought the unit is broken. I wore them on a daily basis, one because they looked dope with a watch and two because I miss my mother, whether I tell her that or not. Now Mackenzie is walking around with one of them and I don't mind it.
Class is over and she's slowly getting ready to leave, at this point, I already know that she's waiting for me. Looking around, the teacher left and a few people are still talking to each other. I walk towards her and she looks at me. I want to make her blush and see it clearly, so I stand very close to her and turn her body to touch mine slightly. She doesn't looked shocked, just a small smile on her face.
"You were right, caramel is my favourite," I whisper and her smile grows so big, I'm almost impressed.
"We'll if that's the case, you're taking me to a event tomorrow. Its compulsory," she now has this look on her face that would make any straight man want to pounce on her. "Oh and I'm always right. Its good that you found out this early," she turns to walk away and I'm stuck there.
I hear her laughing and I snap out of it and chase her. "You weren't exactly asking, were you?" She shakes her head. "Right... and what do I get out of it?" I ask her and we're almost down the stairs. A clear sign that our time together is almost over.
"Clarity," Mackenzie shrugs at me and I want to drag her back up the stairs and ask what she's talking about but her friends are now staring at us and she runs to go hug Noel, Daphne and Tiffany.
I quickly greet them and tell them I'll see them later. As I walk away, Mackenzie calls my name, so I stop and turn around. " Clarity and Confirmation," she gives me her cute ass smile and walks away. Now I have more questions than answers.

"You want to tell me where we're going tomorrow?" I have been on the phone with Mackenzie for about 2 minutes now and she's been exactly what I expected. Fiery, flirty and cute. She is subtly flirting with me and I'm following her pace. If I push too hard, she'll hung up and if I don't show any interest, she'll think I'm not into her. It's a fine line and we're dangerously close to the edge.
"Does it matter?"
"It does Zee. I need to know what I'm getting myself into," and I wait to hear what she has to say about the new nickname. I paid attention to what other people called her. No one calls her Zee. I'll only do that when it's just her and I.
"It's a grand opening. Not the fancy kind. My friend works for this talent agency and I'm going there to support her. You're my back up," she rambles on and I think she didn't hear me.
"Oh I'm just a back up? I thought I'd at least be your date?" I said trying to sound as wounded as possible.
"You can be whatever you want to be, as long as you believe," she's laughing and I know it's a date.
"Calm down Disney Channel. I'll pick you after school?"
"Actually no, you'll meet me there. The event starts earlier and you'll be at school, so we'll get there later,"
