it went on for several minutes until jeonghan was finally just sobbing and not screaming with a lazy gaze not making eye contact, so jisoo slowly stood up and turned off the water realizing it was a waste to keep it on

he kneeled down again and caressed his hair "don't stop yourself from seeing and feeling all these things you're seeing, it's the only way you'll heal" he whispered and took a deep breath expecting jeonghan to get worse but finding comfort in the fact that it was momentarily and he would get better for the rest of his life

the other did get worse but only slightly, since jisoo had stopped grabbing his hands he was hugging himself and his embrace got tighter only for jisoo to caress his hands "please let the feeling flow, but don't take it out on your body, let it go with the water down the drain" he said

jeonghan tried to and slightly succeeded while fighting the urge to still hit his legs that were already so swollen and jisoo tried hard not to stare at his bruises while being impressed at the other's mental strength to actually stop gripping on himself so hard

about 10 more minutes of jeonghan still sobbing passed until the sobs turned into whimpers, and the whimpers into more gentle silent cries as his body shook with each one, looking exhausted

jisoo took the opportunity and stood up "i'm going to bring you some water okay? you need to get hydrated" he said and walked away while jeonghan wished he could tell him to stay

jisoo smiled "that's better, isn't it?" he asked gently and plugged the tub before turning on the warm water making sure it wasn't too hot, he filled it up to jeonghan's shins who was still crying and had his legs up as if he was hugging them but wasn't actually touching and then made the water the perfect temperature
