Abused by his whole village for being magicless, Asta had lost all hope in his dreams and even the will to live. This got the attention of someone who had been watching him for a long time. One day, while training under the Demon Skull, Asta was approached by a man in white clothes. This man offered to teach Asta to use a different power than magic. With nothing to lose, He accepted the man's offer, and he was lead through a strange portal to a massive castle in a desert. There Asta was then trained by the man's elite warriors, the Espadas.
After 12 years, Asta was sent to Clover Kingdom on a mission to find and slay a certain devil.
