Asta, an orphan left on the doorstep of a small village church, wasn't born with magic like the others, he was born with an unusual power that purges mana. He awakened this power at the age of 4, when all children start developing their magic, and when he did, he accidentally caused a couple of the village's fields to wither and die on the day the crops were ready to harvest. Because of this, the residents had come to view him as a curse and a Devil spawn and they chose to exile him from their land. Asta left and was left to wander for days until he was attacked by a half-man, half-wolf creature in the middle of the night. The boy used his powers to fight back against the beast and was able to hold his own until exhaustion caught up to him. The beast made one last attempt to lunge at him when suddenly it was cut down by a white haired man with animal like eyes and carrying two swords, one made of steel, the other of silver. Asta asked, "Who are you?" The man replied, "A Witcher." He then explained to the orphan what attacked him, what a Witcher was, and the reason why he never heard of such creatures before. That reason was as the man quoted, "Because normally, when people encounter these beasts, they very rarely live to tell the tale."
When he asked the boy why he was out in the woods so late, Asta told him his life story. The man offered the exiled orphan the opportunity to become a Witcher and a place where he could feel at home, and Asta accepted immediately. Years passed by, the orphan had become a skilled monster hunter.
Then, one day the 4 kingdoms began to experience an increase in monster sightings and in the center of all the chaos is a mysterious group of mounted warriors wreaking havoc throughout the kingdom. The Magic Knights could do nothing against these unknown threats that seemingly appeared out of nowhere. But, then the Witchers appear on the scene and began battling and killing monsters. When news of their exploits reached the Wizard King, he and the leaders of the other nation knew that the best course of action to counter this threat and survive was to ally with the ancient race of monster hunters. Will the Witchers help the Clover Kingdom against the monsters that plague humanity?
