Olivia's POV
"Aye wifey c'mere," Colson yells from the bottom of the stairs that I literally just walked up.
I take a few minutes before coming back down to see him standing with a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolate.
"What are we celebrating?" I ask him, as he smiles for a little longer than usual. "Seriously, did you win another award or something?"
I walk into the kitchen after him as I think about the past week.
He surprised me with a trip to Miami after winning his first VMA. I thought about saying no, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. He was just too excited about how his life is going for me to ruin it it.
I tried contacting Spencer before we left for Miami to let him know my feeling for him hasn't changed. But all I got was a few generic text in return, which worries me.
I mean, Spencer told me he would wait, but left the hotel abruptly after my text from Colson.

"Grab a glass, baby!" He says in between sips and a kiss.
"Actually, Colson!" I say as I look around the, surprisingly, empty house. "Can we—"
"I knew it wasn't mine," he cuts in and I stop speaking to better understand what he's saying.
"You knew what wasn't yours?" I repeat as he pours me a glass of champagne and passes it to me.
He sips as he takes a seat by the bar before pulling out a piece of paper from his pocket.
"When it comes to eleven month old, Cori, you are not the father," he shouts, happily, as he hands me the paper. "She better find that bastard's daddy! Cus' it ain't me!"
I swallow the champagne sitting at the tip of my tongue as I read the letter for myself. Then I read it a second time, as if it will change.
"A paternity suit? When? And why am I just learning about this?"
"Because it was all bullshit, baby!" He answers nonchalantly. "Plus, I couldn't have you worrying your pretty little face."
"Colson, this is something I should've known!"
"Calm down! It must've slipped my mind," he lies.
"Slipped your mind? You remember to ask for condoms and batteries. But you conveniently forget to tell me that you were being accused of fathering another woman's child?" I ask and he looks annoyed.
"She was wrong. And there's the proof!" He responds sharply.
"So you know this woman?"
He shrugs and I already know the answer by the look of guilt on his face.
"I mean she was around a few times. But I passed her to the homies—- aye look, the kid ain't mine. And that's what matters." He says dismissively.
"You cheated on me with some woman and this is how you decide to tell me?" I yell.
"C'mon, baby! Please!"
"Please what? Please, my ass! You're worse than I thought if you think this is okay. I knew your dog ass wasn't being faithful, but I didn't think it would come to this again!" I scream and he tries to hold my waist, but I push him off of me. "I've been running around sparing your feelings. And this is how you thank me—-"
"Sparing my feelings? What the fuck are you sparing my feelings about?" He asks as he aggressively grabs my wrist.
"Get off of me," I shout boldly before he lets go. "I can't even stand to look at you. How could you be so damn reckless? I mean, for years, I never questioned the stupid shit you did. And all I have to show for it is a break baby and a paternity suit."
