Olivia's POV

"How do I look?" I ask as I walk into Ryan's room in my outfit.

"Desperate!"

"Fuck you!" I say and we both laugh before I hear a knock on the door.

"I got it," Cassie yells and I hear Spencer's voice seconds later.

"Hey chocolate drop," Ryan jokes as she walks out in front of me and I nudge her playfully.

"Hi ladies," Spencer says before hugging me tightly. "You ready, beautiful?"

"Aww—" Julie croons and we all laugh as he escorts me outside and I see a white BMW sitting out front.

"Whose car is this?" I ask as he opens the door for me to get inside.

"It's my acting coach, Will! He let me borrow it as long as I put gas in it." He explains and I'm already impressed by the effort he's making to ensure tonight is special for us.

"So what are we doing?" I ask and he smiles.

"HWouldn't you like to know?"

"Yes, I would." I say with an uncertain laugh.

"Put this on," he tells me as he hands me a blindfold.

"Are you serious right now?"

"Yes, I'm serious. Now put it on please!" Spencer insist and I stare at him a little longer. "Yesterday, you asked me did I trust you. Well, I do. And today, you have to trust me."

His words make me smile. Because, before today, I wasn't sure if he trusted me after all we've already gone through. And honestly, I understand if he doesn't. It's early, but his words still make me smile.

"You trust me?"

"I do," he says slowly and I smirk. "Now, put that on."

I put it on and we just enjoy each other's company for the rest of the car ride, even if it's dark for me.

"We're stopping," I say, excitedly, and he agrees before the car stops.

"Take it off," he tells me before I feel his hands untie the blindfold.

I gasp for air when I lookout to see a well lit tree in a park. "Aww— it's so cute!"

"Here you go," he says as he hands me a decorated card.

I read it and smile at the fact that it's laced with the scent of his cologne. "Thank you for accompanying me on this date. I wanted to make tonight as special as you are to me. So once you're done reading this, go to the trunk and get ready for a night to remember."

"Is this like a movie under the stars night?" I ask before I get out of the car and go to the trunk to see a blanket and two pillows next to a bag of popcorn, chocolate and candy. "This is adorable."

My excitement makes him smile and his smile makes me even more excited.

"Oh, and the movie, you get to choose." He tells me as he holds up three index cards with the names of my favorites.

"Wait, how did you know I love these movies?" I ask as I select a card.

"Wild guess—- So we're watching The Best Man?" He asks and smiles.

"We're watching this one first and the other two after that," I say and he agrees with a nod before grabbing our things from the trunk.

"And when the hell did you have time to put Christmas lights on a tree?" I ask and he laughs.

"This morning, I went for a jog and saw this spot. Then it clicked."

"I never really had anyone put this much effort into a date before," I tell him as he lays the blanket down neatly for me to sit.

"Well, if I'm being honest, I haven't gotten my first acting check yet. So this is in the budget."

I giggle at his response. "Well, if I'm being honest, I'm glad this was in the budget and not Nobu, Crustaceans or any other fancy restaurants in the city. None of that stuff ever impressed me. I'm good staying at the house and listening to music."

"For real?" He asks and I reassure him by happily opening up a box of candy.

"This is way cuter," I say as I watch him set up his lap top.

"And I got like three of those rechargeable batteries, so we should make it through all three movies," he tells me as he sits next to me on the blanket and starts the first movie of my choice.

The little bit of daylight goes about halfway into the movie as I lay still in his arms.

"Wait— wait—- this is my part!" I say before laughing loudly. "Look at his face!"

I hear Spencer's faint laugh as his hands gently rub the sides of my thighs in comfort.

"Mia is so gorgeous to me," I mumble in between bites of popcorn. "Robin too. But she's so messy! Right?"

I look up at him over my right shoulder and he smiles. "Yeah. Way messy!"

The inside of me chuckles because I know he doesn't care about this movie. At least, not in the same way I do. But I love the fact that he's pretending to like it. Just for me.

"Kick his ass Lance!" I yell in between laughs. "He's so scared! Look, babe—- I mean, Spencer!"

I avoid looking up, but I know he heard me. I'm practically sitting in his lap. And it wouldn't be so embarrassing, if wasn't our first official date.

I try to keep quiet to spare myself the embarrassment from the pet-name that slipped, but a kiss to my forehead calms me and makes my slip up way less embarrassing.

"Watch how he drags them down the aisle," I whisper before he laughs.

I look up at him, and this time he keeps his eyes on the screen, making me smile.

I take in the fact that this is one of the most calming moment we've had together since we met. And yes, it feels amazing.

"The is my favorite part," I say as the music starts to play and I stand to my feet and begin to do the electric slide. "What you know about that?"

"Is that a challenge?" He asks as he stands next to me and starts to groove to the beat, making me laugh.

"Wait, how do you know about the electric slide?" I ask as we move in sync and he adds his own flare to the steps.

"Are you serious? I grew up thinking my mom and dad choreographed this dance themselves." He answers and I laugh.

We keep going until the music stops and I sit back down while he switches to the next movie.

When he gets done, he sits down next to me and checks his phone before getting comfortable.

"Has your dad reached back out to you?" I ask as the previews begin.

"Not yet, but my sister did hit me and tell me they've been busy with work lately."

"And you believe that?" I ask without thinking.

"I don't really have any other choice from thousands of miles away," he answers and I understand his dilemma.

I sigh because he's right. And it probably doesn't make it any better if he talks about it.

"Did you like the last movie?" I ask as I change the subject, making him smile before wrapping his arm around my shoulder and pulling me close enough to kiss my cheek.

"I loved it—."

"—Despite me talking through the whole thing?" I ask and he laughs.

"I loved your commentary. Now I don't want to watch another movie without it." He says sarcastically and I roll my eyes before laughing,

"Yeah, okay! I'll try not to talk as much through this one," I say before he applies sweet kisses to my neck and cheek.

I hiss before pulling away with a tempted smirk as I remember his words to take things slow.

The movie begins and I get back into my new favorite position, which is in Spencer's arms.

I feel his phone vibrate as we watch and he looks at the screen before excusing himself.

"Dad?" I hear him say before he walks a little further away.
