"You wanted to see me, father?"

"Ah Yuta, come in. I want you to sign these papers.", Yuta's father said, handing him some papers.

Yuta glanced at the papers, "What are these?"

"These are the papers ensuring that you'll be head of my company after I retire.", he said, a light smile playing on his lips. He surely had something up his sleeve.

"I won't sign these papers.", the younger disagreed. "I don't want to lead your company. I want to do something on my own, not something I'm getting without any hard work."

Yuta's father clenched his jaw, he was fuming. How dare his son disagree with his decision? "What did you just say?"

"I said I'm not going to sign these papers. Go find someone else to do it for you.", the younger stood his ground.

"Yuta, look. You can either do this the easy way or the hard way. And I'm telling you the hard way won't be good.", the older ground out.

"The hard way it is then.", Yuta uttered, tearing the papers into pieces.

"Fine."

The father and son duo stood there, boring holes into each other with their fiery glares. They would have started another quarrel, if Jaemin had not barged into the room. "Ji-ah's here, along with her parents.", he panted, hands on his knees.

"What? Do you have something do to with this?", Yuta looked at his father, eyes narrowed, jaw tight.

His father smirked, crossing his arms. "Well, I knew you wouldn't do this the easy way, so I called them from beforehand. Now, they're going to persuade you to sign these papers.", his father took out a fresh set of papers from his drawer, waving it in front of Yuta.

Yuta was helpless. What did his father have in his mind? Both the brothers shared a look, Jaemin telling him not to quarrel any further with a subtle shake of his head.

Cool breeze hit Sicheng's face as soon as he stepped out of the café. It was dark outside, the street lights illuminating the road. Cars and bicycles whizzed by the Chinese, as he put his hands in his pockets and started walking towards his home.

It wasn't long before he turned into a dark alleyway, a shortcut with no lights present, only garbage bins and broken glass bottles rolling here and there. He took out his phone and switched on the torch, making his way carefully.

Crunch.

The sound of glass crunching under a shoe could be heard. Sicheng's heart started to thump loudly in his chest. He started to walk faster, but the footsteps never stopped, only walking fast to match his pace.

There was no one in the alleyway other than them. The air was thick with fear and tension, footsteps and breathing being the only sounds audible. Sicheng came to a halt when he heard the very familiar raspy voice, "I told you I'd always keep an eye on you."

Ji-hoon.

His voice laced with malice made Sicheng tremble in fear. Oh, how he wished Yuta was here to protect him. But unfortunately not. Now Sicheng could only pray that Ji-hoon left with threatening words and not any violence.

"I see you haven't paid heed to my words, baby boy. Now you have to pay for it.", Ji-hoon snarled. "I won't let you live in peace as long as you're with that boyfriend of yours."

And that's when he hit Sicheng in the head with a steel rod he had in his hand. The Chinese stumbled around, looking for support and crying for help. But to no avail. Not a single word escaped his lips, not a single touch made him stable enough to walk. He fell to the ground with a thud, his vision fading to darkness once again.

Ji-hoon kicked the unconscious boy in the side and looked around, hoping no one saw him. He took out his phone.

Me:
It's done, Boss.

Boss:
Good, I have transferred the amount to your bank account.
See to it that that filthy boy gets nowhere near him.

Me:
I will, Boss.
Thank you.

He switched off his phone and left the alleyway, a cigarette between his lips. Sicheng lay there unconscious, with no Yuta to protect him.

"Sungie look!"

"What's wrong, Lele?"

"There's someone in the alley! I think he's unconscious. Come on, Jisung! Let's go help him!", the purple haired boy shouted.

"Oh my God, you're right Chenle. Come on."

Both teenagers ran over to Sicheng, checking if he's still alive. "He's still alive, but he's hurt badly. We should call an ambulance before anything gets worse.", Chenle advised.

"Yeah, I'm doing that."

A few minutes later an ambulance arrived, the paramedics getting Sicheng on a stretcher.

"Sungie? Should we visit him in the morning?"

"Yeah, I think we should."

"It's done."

"Like I said?"

"Like you said."

"Good."

"So, what's the next step?"

"Well, let's just wait now."

"Just wait? Won't they get too relaxed?"

"That's the plan. They don't know it's us, right?"

"They haven't suspected a thing."

"Good."
