Sicheng pulled the hood of his hoodie over his head, his eyes glancing at the dark clouds above. He held the bag full of groceries and jogged towards Yuta's apartment, as raindrops started decorating the streets and pavements.

The younger opened the door as quietly as he could, not wanting to disturb the distraught older. He set the bag on the counter of the kitchen and took out the contents. After placing everything in their own places, he went to Yuta's bedroom, wanting to know the reason behind him being distracted.

But the sight that welcomed him, left the Chinese speechless.

Yuta kissing a woman, his hands on her waist, her hands gripping his biceps tightly. Both of their eyes closed.

Sicheng let out a shaky breath as tears made their way down his cheeks. He just stood there, hand covering his mouth, his whole body shaking and he felt as if he couldn't breathe anymore. Emotions started flooding him one after the other.

Sadness.

Jealousy.

Anger.

Betrayal.

Disbelief.

How long was this going on?

He couldn't take anymore of the sight, and he let out a broken sob as he exited the apartment. He didn't know where he was going. It was raining cats and dogs as lightning struck the sky, but the heartbroken Chinese didn't notice it. He just kept walking. He tried so hard to wipe the tears from his face, but they just kept coming. He was hurt again.

Would someone ever love him?

"Kiss me."

Yuta was horrified. There was no way he would kiss her. He shook his head rapidly, too shocked to talk properly. "Well then..," the Korean started, "These are going to the head of your college."

Would she leave him no choice? The Japanese had no choice but to give in. For the sake of Sicheng. He groaned, already regretting the situation he was in, and quickly placed a peck on Ji-ah's lips. "There you go, I kissed you. Now please get out of my house," he hissed.

Ji-ah didn't even budge from her place, instead she took Yuta's hands and placed them on her waist, her hands returning to rest on his biceps. She inched closer to Yuta's face, and whispered, "Kiss me properly."

And she slammed her lips on his.

Yuta tried to turn his head away, but Ji-ah just forced her lips on his. He closed his eyes, not wanting to see her face. It was only then that Yuta heard rapid footsteps and pushed the Korean away. He went to the living room to see the front door ajar, a box of cupcakes set on the kitchen counter.

"Oh no Sicheng..," he whispered to himself, before sprinting outside, in hopes to catch his lover.

Sicheng didn't know if it was the rain or his tears, but he kept wiping his face. The scene kept playing in his head. How could he do such a silly thing as to love Yuta? He should've known, love wasn't for him. His heart was breaking in a million pieces, his mind replaying the scene several times. The pain he felt when his exes broke up with him was nothing compared to the pain he felt now.

"Sicheng! Wait!" A distant shout made him stop in his tracks. The sound of the raindrops hitting the pavement couldn't cover the heavy footsteps as they came closer to him, and stopped.

"Sicheng..," the voice now came out as a whisper, "Please don't go."

"What have you been hiding from me?" Sicheng's voice came out cold and calm, concealing his actual emotions.

"I...I'm sorry. I swear I haven't been cheating on you with her. I-I swear. I love you, Sicheng, please don't leave me. P-please don't leave me," Yuta begged, his hand reaching out to capture the younger's, but he moved away. The older wasn't in any less pain, his heart ached at the thought of Sicheng leaving him, his whole being loathed that thought with passion. But here he was, standing on a pavement, the rain drenching him from head to toe, and his love standing right in front of him.

"I-I'm sorry, Yuta. I c-can't," the younger's voice was strained, obviously holding back another set of fresh tears. "We're done, Yuta."

Crack.

Yuta's heart shattered like fragile glass. His heart drummed in his ears and he felt his throat closing up. He didn't even notice tears spilling from his eyes as he mumbled frantically, "No, no, no, no! D-don't leave m-me, please. I cant l-live without y-you. Don't leave me. Don't leave me."

Sicheng, pushed away his urge to hug Yuta and assure him that he'll never leave him. But he couldn't do that. Yuta did wrong, and this was the consequence. Even if it hurt Sicheng, he knew this was for the better. "I'm sorry..," the younger's voice came out as a broken whisper, "I have to."

Yuta couldn't even produce a single word anymore, as his body shook, collapsing on the pavement on his knees. The rain fell harder than ever, mixing his tears along with the water droplets. The older's head hung down as he sobbed, his body convulsing violently.

He looked through the heavy rainfall, seeing Sicheng walking away, his body shaking. Yuta raised one hand in his direction, as if to stop him. He whispered for one last time, even knowing that the younger wouldn't hear him:

"Don't go..."
