I Thought I Lost You

Spencer's POV

Emily and I were sent to a church with a woman from social services to look into a case about child abuse, but it turned into a raid by the police and we were taken hostage by the church leader Benjamin Cyrus, who turns out to be a cult leader.

Derek's POV

I was just finishing up some paperwork when I looked at the news and I noticed that there was an emergency broadcast of the church that Emily and Reid went to. I looked at JJ and she turned up the volume, and I exposed that there were FBI agents in there. I yelled,

"HOTCH"

He came out and saw the TV and Hotch, Rossi, and I left the place, but we bumped into Karina, carrying lunch for us.

"Sorry, Karina"

"It's okay, but what's going on"

"Emily and Reid were taken, hostage"

"What, I have to go"

"No", Hotch said

"Hotch, please"

"No, we made a deal, remember"

"Yes, but I can't just wait here"

"You're not coming with us"

"Oh come on Hotch, It's her boyfriend", Rossi intervened

"Exactly why that's not happening, Dave"

"Hotch, just let her go and she won't ask you anymore, right"

"I kind of can't promise that, but for this year yes", Karina replied

"Fine"

Karina's POV

After a few hours of flying, we arrived in Colorado, I was worried about Spencer. I made sure that I didn't intervene with the case, just to stay on Hotch's good side. But Hotch wanted me to talk to the leader Benjamin Cyrus.

"Hello"

"Hi, who am I talking to?"

"Um, my name is Karina, I'm here with the FBI, we just want the two social workers "

"You mean the one social worker and the other FBI agent"

I looked up at Hotch and he nodded

"Yes"

"Well, I'm afraid that I can't do that for you, you see the FBI agent, well she's a little tied up right now, and the social worker he's on my side, and you brought swat to our home and tried to raid us."

"NO, it was the governor, he didn't know we had sent social workers, and we didn't want to raid your campus."

"Listen, we're not gonna give you the two people, but we are in desperate need of food and water, if you'd be a dear and get that for us, that would be helpful,"

I again looked at Hotch and he wrote down what to say next.

"Okay, what do you want?"

"Fried chicken with mashed potatoes and water"

"Okay, we can get you that, how many?"

"Let's just say 30"

"Okay, we'll bring it to you in about an hour or so"

"No, you'll bring it to the door."

I looked at Hotch and he looked at Derek. Derek shook his head, but Hotch didn't care; he looked back at me and nodded his head.
