"Morning, red." A deep voice rings causing me to open my eyes in annoyance.

"It's too early." I complain, dragging over a a soft blanket over my body that wasn't there when I went to sleep. Alas that very blanket was swept from my grip, letting the bright sun cascade through along with the cold air.

"As much as I enjoy your company, coming home and seeing you on my couch was a surprise." He tells me with a smile. I grunt and sit up with the help of his hand.

"Sorry, I should've called first." I yawn looking at the time that reads, 1pm.

"Yes, have some boundaries." He teases as he hands me a cup of coffee. I chuckle and take it from him, letting the hot steam warm up my face.

"Can I stay here for a while." I ask looking up at him with a smile.

"How long?" He asks.

"I'm not sure yet." I whisper shying away from guilt.

"What happened? Are you okay?" He asks and I nod, quickly thinking of a lie.

"Yeah just some creep I've been seeing around my place. I wanna shake him off." I tell him as I take a sip of the scolding coffee.

"These things wouldn't happen if you didn't live in that area." He lectures.

"Not all of us make 900k a year," I tell him in a sing-song voice. He throws a pillow at me almost making me drop my coffee.

"Watch it! Before I spill it on your all-white everything!" I exclaim, jokingly talking about how everything in his apartment is white. The walls, furniture, appliances, and decor. He rolls his eyes as he grabs an apple from his fridge, leaning against it as he looks at me.

"You look like shit." He jokes as he takes a bite from the green apple. I get and follow him to his kitchen.

"Well, we can't all look like princes," I tell him causing him to roll his eyes.

"I tell you one time I could be considered royalty in India!" He explains tired of my teasing.

"Someone's having a tantrum." I pout before leaning over his shoulder, grabbing his arm that's holding his apple and take a bite out of it. The bitter taste filling my mouth.

"Hey!" He exclaims as I chew the apple, setting down my empty cup in the sink.

"Sorry, an apple a day won't keep the doctor away," I say shrugging while I walk to his bathroom to clean up.

"Yeah, I see that." I hear him mutter as he continues to eat his apple. I chuckle lowly and close the door.
