Soft groans sound in the apartment as Matt starts to wake up. Foggy stands up from his seat parallel to mine and walks over to him once Matt tries to sit up.
"Wouldn't do that if I were you." Foggy murmurs as he looks down at Matt's broken body.
"But yet again I would. What the hell do I know about Matt Murdock." Foggy speaks with an angry tone. I sigh from the kitchen lowly as I rub my forehead.
"You stitched me up?" Matt asks in surprise as he winces from his stitches.
"Nope. That was all her." Foggy says pointing to me as he takes a sip of beer.
"Daeva?" Matt asks loudly since he didn't know I was there. I slowly slip off my chair and walk into the living room, I too holding a beer.
I stand by the sofa as my heart breaks to look at Matt in this state.
Annoyed with him or not, it pains me.
"Yeah, you made me call her after you almost took a swing at me when I mentioned bringing you to a hospital." Foggy tells Matt with a scowl.
"I don't remember. Sorry." Matt apologizes as he looks up at the ceiling, unable to twist his body.
"You wouldn't, the pain made your memory blurry." I whisper into the tense environment between the two friends.
"Just tell me one thing, Matt." Foggy speaks to Matt with such venom.
"Foggy..." I start trying to dismiss this conversation due to Matt's injuries.
"No!" He screams at me before looking back at Matt.
"Are you even really blind?" Foggy scoffs with a hurt face.
"In a way." Matt whispers in pain. I roll my lips into my mouth and crouch down onto the floor by Matt's sofa.
"What does that mean?!" Foggy screams in confusion.
"I don't see like you do. I see a world on fire. I use my senses..." Matt starts to explain like he did to me all those months ago.
"So you can see?" Foggy scoffs as he throws his arms out.
"No— are you even listening?" Matt questions getting slightly agitated.
"Yeah, world on fire l, I got it. But you can see, right?" Foggy asks again as his voice raises.
"Yeah in a manner of speaking." Matt answers earning Foggy to get quite angry.
"No! No manner!" He booms before walking up to Matt and throwing up the middle finger in his face.
"How many fingers am I holding up?" Foggy questions. Matt's eyes roll to the back of his head before answering.
"...One." He answers weakly. Foggy's hand falls and so does his face as he sits in Matt's armchair.
"All these years, I actually felt sorry for you." Foggy speaks in disbelief. Matt shifts slightly as his head moves to the side.
"I didn't ask for that. I never—I never asked for that." Matt sighs as he stumbles over his words.
"Yeah, I didn't ask to be lied to." Foggy counters with balled up fists and a red face. "I thought we were friends!" Foggy exclaims.
"We are." Matt says softly.
"You've lied to me Matt. Since the day we met." Foggy says as his eyes start to tear.
"What did you expect me to say, Foggy? 'Hi, I'm Matt. I got some chemicals splashed in my eyes when I was a kid than gave me heightened senses'." Matt scoffs as he tries to make a point.
