A couple hours later the clock reads 6am, and the hospital has finally calmed with the amount of new patients. However hundreds of men, women, and children line in the halls waiting to get helped.

I walk a patient to one of the waiting chairs in the hallway after their small surgery. The indistant talking of the television catches my attention. I look up to the new anchor report a breaking news, in a swift motion I grab the remote and turn up the volume.

'Authorities ask that you contact them immediately. A deadly shooting just moments ago, as three of New York's finest have been gunned down in Hell's Kitchen. We still have no information as to who.' The teleprompter speaks causing my heart to drop. I quickly walk to Foggy's room to see both him and Karen watching the same news as I am.

'We just got new information about the bombings. The authorities have just released this video happening moments before the explosions.'

Matt dressed in his black mask and suit is clear in the video as he fights off the police, caught on camera.

'Authorities believe this man is responsible for the bombings, possibly as a part of an ongoing feud with the Russian mob.'

"Oh my god, that's him..." Karen speaks as she stares up at the picture on the scene that's zoomed into Matt's masked face.

My eyes bulge and worry hits me. "That's who?" I ask in fear of her finding out his secret.

"That's the man that saved my life." She says with an open mouth. I release a sigh, hopeful that she didn't figure it out.

"Yikes. You're lucky he didn't kill you." Foggy speaks as he lays on the hospital bed.

"I don't understand, he didn't seem like someone to do something like this." Karen speaks lowly.

"General rule: guys who wear masks have something to hide." Foggy informs us. I look at him and bite the inside of my cheek.

"You guys okay?" I ask pretending that I'm doing my rounds.

"Yeah we're okay." Foggy tells me with a smile.

"Okay good, I'll come back one more time before my shift ends, I just have to finish my rounds first." I lie as I tap Foggy's knee that's underneath the blanket.

"Go save lives." He says proudly. I chuckle and turn to leave.

"That's my job." I speak over my shoulder. Once I reach the end of the hallway my smile drops and I walk quickly to the same emergency exit, pulling out my phone and dialing Matt's number.

"Not the best time, Daeva." Matt grunts from the other line.

"You're on the news for shooting three cops." I whisper lowly hoping no one can hear me from behind the door.

"'No, that was Fisk." he counters hoping for me to believe him. "I promise you, it was all Fisk." He whispers lowly. I look up at the ceiling and close my eyes as I take in a breath.

"I know it was, I just wanted to let you know that the police are after you. Please be safe." I tell him softly.

He chuckles lowly, his voice hoarse, "I'll try." There's small noises in the background on his line that sound like helicopters that causes me worry.

"What was that?" I ask slowly, fearing of the answer.

"Nothing." He waves off, but I know better.

"What's going on?" I ask more directly.

"It's nothing, I promise." He whispers but his voice is low and broken.

"You aren't the best at keeeping promises." I tell him with a small smile.
