While Matt was gone Karen and Ben left us leaving just Foggy and I. After a few hours Matt returned and we sat in a circle researching anything we can.

"Totally forgot I got this for us man." Foggy says randomly getting up and sliding a plack in front of Matt.

"What is this?" Matt asks as he feels around.

"Exactly what I drew on that napkin all back when." Foggy tells Matt as he feels the 'Nelson and Murdock' sign.

"It's a little small." Matt jokes with a wide smile.

"We are small but awesome!" Foggy tells us with a happy look on his face.

"You dragged me into this rinky-dink firm, Murdock...and I'll never be able to thank you enough for that." Foggy gushes.

"When's the wedding you two." I joke from my seat as I look up from my computer.

"I'm not letting him kiss me." Matt says with a toothy grin.

"Not even a little peck?" Foggy frowns before pulling Matt into a hug. I chuckle lowly before the phone rings causing me to sit up and place it between my shoulder and ear.

"Nelson and Murdock, how could I help you?" I speak into the phone as Matt and Foggy continue to bicker.

"I'm sorry to inform you that Elena Cardenas had been a victim to a homicide earlier today." A man tells me causing my smile to drop from my face and my mouth to open in shock.

"I'm sorry what?" I question as tears strike my eyes. Foggy and Matt turn around upon hearing my cracking voice, mouthing 'what's going on?'

"I'm sorry to-" They start to repeat but I shake my head.

"I h-heard you the first time." I say lowly as I wipe my dripping nose.

"Sorry for your loss ma'am. Can you come to verify that this is Elena Cardenas?" The man asks and I sniffle at his question.

"Yeah, we'll be there right away." I say before hanging up the phone.

"Daeva what happened?" Foggy is the first to ask.

"Elena, she was murdered a little while ago. They want us to verify its her." I say through my tears as I quickly grab my coat and slip it on before walking out of the building, not waiting for their reactions.

They pull back the blue sheet, revealing a beaten Elena Cardenas. I suck in a breath as I look away from her and tears streak down my face.

"It's her." I tell the doctor through tears.

"How did it happen?" Matt asks angrily to the officer.

"Neighbor said she saw some junkie they've seen in the building, fleeing the scene with her purse. Probably jumped her as she's fishing for her keys after she came to see you at your office." The officer tells us as he looks at me with an apologetic look.

I take in a labored breath as I let out a sob.

"Daeva, maybe you should wait outside." Matt tells me from across the table but I shake my head.

"No, No. I need to know how she died." I say trying to hold back tears.

"Ma'am do you really want to know?" He asks and I nod.

"I need to know." I whisper as I look down at her blue and purple face.

"Multiple stab wounds. My mom says all the family she knew about passed on, beside you." He tells us all causing my hand to be engulfed by Foggy, as he too cries.
