"Sena Mikami cannot advance to the finals and has been disqualified."

Disqualified.

"Her final move has been viewed as unacceptable for a hero in training, earning her a third and final penalty, leading to her disqualification."

Unacceptable.

All she could see was the darkness behind her eyelids. She could feel her warm breath being pushed onto her face by the pillow she was smothered into. The room was quiet, just how she liked it. The room itself was something she never thought of as hers.

Sure she slept there every night and all her things were there, but the room never truly felt like home. The dusty pink wallpaper with cold mud brown floorboards, covered with white faux fur rugs. Her wooden, four-poster, canopy, queen-sized bed hogged just a quarter of the room. The rest of her furniture didn't match the lavish, extravagant bed her step-father insisted that she just had to have, for the other pieces had come from her childhood home. The bookcase next to the door that had become a void for junk over the years used to sit in the living room. The end tables with chipped paint that sat on either side of the bed had come from her mother's room. The couch with seats so worn in they felt inescapable, had also come from the living room. Even the pictures that hung on the walls were from a different time in her life. A time she could never truly part with. When she and her mother moved into Yoshio's luxurious manor, Sena had always felt out of place. Perhaps that's why when her mother insisted on throwing everything in her childhood home away, Sena objected and kept pieces of the furniture that had seen what hell she had gone through.

She laid in the fetal position, facing the back cushion of the old green couch. Her family had just brought her back home from the Sports Festival after they announced her disqualification. It was made so that Bakugo would advance and fight Todoroki. While the rage still bubbled and boiled, the curiosity crept into her mind. Without moving her body, she levitated the remote to her flat screen and flicked on the UA Sports Festival. The noise of triumphant music accompanied by Midnight's voice filled the room.

"Since Sena and Iida couldn't be here, Tokoyami has earned the third-place position on the podium." Midnight explained. "Now we will award the medals! The presentation of the medals will, of course, be by this man... Our very own hero All Might!" Sena's head raised slowly. She wiped her eyes and turned to the screen.

The camera cut to the three finalists on the podium.

Sena's eyebrows furrowed as she let out a heavy exhale. She could feel the anger hang over her like a shadow. She grabbed the nearest thing, a book, and launched it at the television screen on impulse. The image shook for a brief second, but no damage was done. All Might handed out each medal to each contestant, taking the time to speak to each of them and embrace them.
