It took time but Laura eventually convinced her mother to allow her to go over to Wade's, it was a long headed argument but Laura knew what she needed and being away from her overbearing mother was exactly that. Wade's house was a double storied house that was near the Macher house on Turner Lane. Turner Lane was a long stretch of road with only a few houses, Stu Macher lived at 261 and Wade lived at 263, it could be seen from the upstairs bathroom window.
Laura walked threw the front door and closed it soundly behind her, she turned the lock over and sighed and leant back against the door. Wade entered into the hallway and looked at her and extended his arms and she let out a cry and ran into his arms and hugged him back. The others looked in on them hugging, Clancy watched closely and didn't say anything but had a distasteful look across her face. Emily smiled softly at Laura when they looked at each other after she pulled away from the hug.
She walked up to Laura. "How are you doing?"
She wiped her eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just- it's so shocking that it was him, why did he try to kill us?"
She gave her a small hug. "I don't know why he'd do such a thing".
They walked into the living room where the strong scent of alcohol struck them, Laura was passed a red plastic cup that smelt of a cheap alcohol so she took a swig and went ahead and sank it down before grabbing another and repeating. She wanted to forget about Toby. Clancy spoke with Wade quietly up at the table, Emily sat beside Laura and spoke quietly. They watched as Richmond wondered outside and onto the front deck.
Richmond swayed as he walked along the deck. He moved silently across the wooden structure and leant up against the railing and looked over the fence. In the distance he could see the faint glow of the Macher household. He looked at it and then turned around and leant against the railing and reached into his pocket as his phone vibrated, he answered it and lifted it to his ear.
"Hello?"
"Enjoying the view?" A dark voice asked with a chuckle.
Richmond looked around once more, with the alcohol flowing through his body he didn't recognise the voice on the other end. But he knew he had heard it before, maybe in a movie. Richmond held the phone close. "What view?"
"The view of the Macher house. Looks beautiful at this time of the night" the voice said.
Richmond went cold and lowered the phone slowly and continued to look around.
"Who is this?"
"You'll find out in a moment".
Richmond heard the line disconnect and he dropped the phone when he heard heavy footsteps, he spun around once more and watched another Ghostface costume wearing attacker jogging towards him from the opposite side of the balcony. Richmond looked the attacker up and down before he charged towards them, he wrapped his hands around their lower half and shoved them down onto the floor with a heavy thud. The attacker grunted loudly. Richmond managed to pull himself up and step back from the attacker. He was still very drunk and struggling to focus on who was in front of him, everything was a blur as it happened.
Richmond ran across the balcony and jumped over the railings and fell into the bushes below and let out a pained groan as he landed in an awkward position. He got up and limped towards the fence on the property line to try and flee, he looked back over his shoulder as Ghostface jumped from the railing and chased after him. He then saw the knife in his hand and tried moving faster.
"No! No, no, no, no! Please!" He cried out as Ghostface drove the knife into his back.
Richmond arched his back in agony as the blade was twisted within his flesh, a blood curdling screech was released from his throat as he was pulled back onto the blade once more when he tried to drive himself free from the blade. Ghostface grabbed a holt of his hair and pulled his head back and looked into his eyes as tears rolled down his cheeks, he yanked the blade out from his back and chucked him down onto the ground. Richmond hit the ground with a harsh thud, his skin was noticeable much more pale and his eyes were red as he panted and looked at the blood on his fingers that laced across his skin. Ghostface knelt down and he cried out and shoved him away, the killer moved to the side but wrapped his hand around Richmond's throat and squeezed tightly making the boys eyes widen.
Ghostface raised the blade up into the air and Richmond looked up at the killer. He reached up and dug his fingers into the mask and began to pull it from their face. They stabbed him in the chest once and Richmond choked out a cry and released the mask. They stabbed him once more and he went limp as his eyes rolled back and his lips parted allowing a wave of blood to spew out across his face and down his neck and across his clothes.
