"If you put on another Stab movie, I swear to god I will kill you! I'm sick of watching them, why can't we watch The Notebook or something like normal teenagers?" Kasey inquired from across the den as she gathered the items from the fridge and stuck them on the countertop before securing the fridge door and moving onto the cupboard. She found some chips and hurled them onto the counter, then closed the doors and looked across into the living room where Vienna was looking at the DVD's. "Are you even paying attention to me?"
Vienna didn't respond and Kasey sighed and rolled her eyes and snagged the cans of soda, the chips and popcorn before she paraded over and placed them on the blue sofa. The two cans clinked together, Kasey overlooked it and walked around and perched down on the end of the sofa and curled her legs up and watched as her friend continued to study the covers.
"Can you please just pick one?" Kasey asked from where she sat.
Vienna snickered and peered back at her friend with a smirk. "Everything has to be perfect. You cannot just have a movie night and watch something boring. I really want to watch Stab!"
Kasey countered, powerfully. "No! I'm sick of watching those stupid movies!"
"But I promise you Stab 8 is good!"
"Stab 8 is the same as Stab 7 and Stab 6!"
Vienna snickered. "At least it's not like Stab 5, that one had- "
"Time travel, yeah I know".
Vienna climbed up and sat beside her friend and smiled at her. "Please, trust me this one is totally different and follows a good story. It's about Ashley Prescott again".
"That's right the girl who just seems to get away every time, it's so original" Kasey said with a sarcastic tone. She looked at her friend who was practically begging and caved. "What's it about, then?"
"Okay so it stopped being silly and started following Ashley again after what happened to Sidney Prescott here like ten years ago", Vienna started. "Cause her cousin tried to kill her so they made it about Ashley escaping from her past".
"Yeah, that does sound better than the previous films" Kasey replied, not allowing her friend to notice that she was not interested at all. "But if I don't like it, we will swap it to another movie!" Kasey said loudly, Vienna smiled and nodded then inserted the DVD into the player and grabbed the remote and stepped back. Kasey turned the lights down and tucked herself into the blanket as a loud scream came from the TV before the opening title of STAB 8 flashed across the screen. "This better be worth it".
"It will be, trust me" replied Vienna.
Kasey watched as the opening sequence began. Two girls sat at home watching a movie, they were curled up on the lounge just like the two of them currently are, and Kasey noticed and frowned but ignored it. One girl gets up from where she sat and answers the phone that rang and the voice asked from the other end of the line, "what's your favourite scary movie?"
Kasey smirks and looks at Vienna who is invested in the movie.
"Who is this?" the girl on the movie asks.
The voice replies in a deep tone. "Turn on the outside light and you'll see".
Kasey jumps in shock as a chair smashes through the patio door in the movie and the actress starts screaming loudly and runs as the hooded killer comes chasing her into the living room. The other girl is stabbed in the chest and thrown down.
Loud screams come from the TV, and Kasey and Vienna jump when the phone rings in their kitchen. Kasey gets up and Vienna pauses the movie and walks towards it. She reaches out, grabs the phone and lifts it.
