Richmond approached the group slowly, their heads turned and noticed him as he got closer. Tegan and Isla slithered backwards away from him as he smiled softly and awkwardly. He wasn't a killer, he knew that, his family knew that. These people here should know he isn't a killer. He was thrown under the bus and for what? For nothing. A rumour like this can end someone's life.
"Are my friends going to ignore me also?" He asked sarcastically as he sat down with them.
Wade gave him a firm pat on the back. "Good to have you back, man. I was worried".
Emily smiled at him softly and glanced at Tegan and Isla. Tegan looked pale, like a wave of fear had set in over her body.
"Are you okay?" Emily asked as she leant in closer. Tegan shook her head and Emily nodded and gestured for Isla to follow. "Let's go for a walk, yeah?"
They nodded and stood up while Wade sat with Richmond who watched them leave silently.
"How are you doing?" Wade asked kindly.
Tony looked at him with an eager expression. Richmond noticed.
"What?"
"How was prison?" He asked loudly and Wade smacked his arm.
Richmond snickered and then sighed loudly. "Boring, lonely. I spent most of it in the interrogation room with my lawyer".
"Did you do it?"
"Why the hell would you ask me that? Of course I didn't! In case you hadn't noticed the killer called Laura when I was locked up, meaning it couldn't have been me!" He yelled, heads turned to them where they sat. Richmond noticed and lowered his voice. "Why would I kill her?"
Tony snickered and crossed his arms and then grabbed his phone went it rang.
"How can he be the killer when I'm going to kill you?"
His eyes went wide and he lowered the phone and covered the microphone. "Are you playing some kind of joke?"
"What?" Richmond spat.
"You get one of your friends to call my phone, huh?" He snarled. "Pretend to be Ghostface and scare me?"
"Dude, fuck you!"
He snickered on the other end of the phone. "Look at you three, sitting around acting all brave like you're going to stop me", Tony turned and looked around the large open stone courtyard where many students sat around talking, texting and even talking on their phones. "Try and find me. You'll never guess".
"He can see us apparently" exclaimed Tony.
Richmond and Wade got up and looked around. Other students noticed and watched them with a cautious expression as they looked around the court yard at everyone, their eyes landed on a girl sitting at a table alone on the phone. Tony pointed her out and Richmond and Wade scurried towards her, coming in from each side they grabbed her which made her scream. They snatched the phone and spoke into it.
Tony watched as they turned to him and shrugged. Ghostface laughed.
"You're getting warmer".
Wade pointed to another table and ran for them. The bell sounded and the two followed the group into the building, leaving Tony alone in the courtyard on the phone. He turned in every direction as he continued to talk.
"Can you see me?" He asked sadistically. "Cause I can see you, dead boy".
"Fuck you, man!"
"Here I come" said Ghostface.
Tony panicked and lowered the phone and ran towards the building as fast he could. He shoved the door open, ran inside and backed up against the wall and looked both ways down the now empty halls. Silence rang across the school as classes began quickly. He lifted the phone back up to his ear.
"You're on fire!"
The janitors closet door was kicked open, a shard of wood was sent flying across the floor and Tony spun as Ghostface grabbed him and dragged him into the closet kicking and screaming, the door was pulled shut quickly as Ghostface shoved Tony into the wooden shelves knocking items to the floor with a loud bang. Bleach poured onto the floor making the small room unstable, the fumes were strong but Tony fought hard against the masked attacker. Ghostface struck him in the face and he groaned loudly and stumbled back into the shelves, he held his phone tightly and shoved it into his face and struck him hard making him groan loudly.
Tony tried to escape, but Ghostface grabbed him and pulled him back and when he lost his balance and crashed into the floor next to the mop and bucket he looked up and went to plead for his life but Ghostface, with a sinister head tilt, lifted a pair of metal scissors and drove them forwards and buried them in Tony's face.
Tony's screams were loud at first, but he was muffled as his fingers curled and uncurled in agony as Ghostface covered his mouth and stopped him from removing the scissors from his eyeball as blood poured freely down his face and into the black fabric of the cloak. He thrashed as hard as he could, his arms pulled items down to the floor around him in an attempt to draw someone in. But it was no use, soon it was too late when Ghostface grabbed the scissors, twisted and removed them leaving him screaming on the floor before he stabbed him again, this time in the throat. Silencing him for good. His escape was quick, the door eased open and he was gone in a flash. Blood poured out from under Tony's corpse as he laid there in pain for his final seconds of life.
When the door was pulled open by Wade and Richmond their screams filled the hallways, drawing in students and teachers.
