The news of her own sister returning to Woodsboro was enough to make her skin crawl. Not once in a billion years did, she ever predict she would step foot back inside the borders of this town after what she was put through. She walked up the front path to her house, the unfamiliar black SUV was parked in the driveway, she glanced at it again and faced the door when she heard yelling coming from inside. It was her mother and sister at each other's throat's again.
She prayed that this would go well.
She opened the door and stepped in. They noticed her and backed away from each other and she turned and faced the door and sighed as she closed it, with a smile that nearly killed her, she turned back and faced them.
Stephanie is a young energetic girl, being in her early twenties she has began to live lift to the fullest. She has long wavy brown hair and the same eyes as Laura, they shared similar features all over. The same body shape. But their personalities were very different. Stephanie was sarcastic, belittling and cunning when needed. She was cold at heart, but sweet when she was open.
"Hi" Laura said with a bright fake smile. Steph looked at her in awe and covered her mouth and then hurried over to her and swept her into a hug that was tight and comforting, Laura melted into it and hugged her back securely. "It's so good to see you!" She whispered so that her mother wouldn't hear and make a comment.
"I've missed you so much" her sister cooed as she pulled back and looked at up and down with a bright wide smile. Laura noticed the faded red scaring on her wrists but didn't dare say or even look at them for too long. That was in the past. "You've grown so much".
"I'm so happy to see you" Laura said.
Their mother scuffed and turned on her heels and stormed off into the next room, leaving her and Steph standing there by the front door alone. They walked into the kitchen where they began catching up on everything they missed from each other's lives. Laura didn't know that she was a producer on a talk show, Laura was so shocked and happy to hear that. Then came to the real conversation.
"You've been getting harassed by a killer?" Steph asked and Laura's lips curled inwards and she nodded softly. Steph rubbed her arm. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"No, not really. I want to just move on and forget about it".
Stephanie turned and looked back as their mother entered the kitchen with a handful of blankets, she balled them up and chucked them at her eldest.
"If you're gonna stay here at least don't freeze and die!"
"Ah, mother. Always been so kind".
Laura sat there awkwardly as they exchanged nothing but hostility at each other. She then excused herself and walked up the stairs when her phone rang. It was Wade, she answered.
"Laura, it's Tony. He's- he's dead".
Sidney stood at the end of the hallway behind the police tape that was set up across the hallway, blocking the view from students and teachers where his body had been discovered. Dewey stood talking with Deputy Hicks who had just finished questioning Richmond and Wade who discovered his body. They stood beside each other and Sidney frowned at them, she sighed and ducked under the tape and walked towards them. Dewey noticed and hurried over to her, stopping her where she was.
"Sidney, you can't be back here!"
"I need to ask them some questions. I need to know what happened" she said.
Dewey glanced to Gale who nodded, he lowered his head with a sigh and stepped to the side and allowed her to go and talk with the boys.
"Hey, are you two okay?" She asked as she stepped up to them. They nodded. Wade glanced back at the closet where he saw a glimpse of Tony's leg laying across the floor, he closed his eyes and turned away and looked back at Sidney who gave him a soft smile. "I know you two have been asked some questions but do you mind telling me what happened?"
