Estella went to the same cafeteria where Mr. Adam and Samuel and Kelly were going to meet again. She was a bit late today. When she entered the cafeteria she saw Sam handing over the money to Mr. Adam. She quickly went and sat beside their table.
"Thanks, Samuel, by the way, if you don't mind...may I know what's the reason behind doing all this?... I'm pretty sure that that's not the reason that you told me", Adam said.
"Assume that it's for someone's betterment", Samuel replied with a slight smile.
"Okay boy, may you get success. We will start our work from today only", Adam said while shaking hands with Sam.
All of them left and Estella knew that now they were going to school to start their work. So she also went to school and kept following them to the hall. Soon Daniel and Emily also came. But Amelda was nowhere. She was not knowing all this and just because she could tell Estella, these people didn't tell her. Finally, they started the arrangements and Samuel started to distribute the works.
"Emily and Daniel, you go and check out if all the pamphlets are made. If yes then distribute those to all school staff and students and give the remaining pamphlets to me. Till then Kelly and I will do all the decoration", Samuel announced.
Now Estella understood why was Samuel having work that day. Samuel kept helping Kelly with things...
"How could he forget me that easily? and the thing is why he kept hiding all this from me? Wasn't he supposed to tell me first? Ah! What am I saying? Of course, I was never his best friend...why do I keep forgetting this", she kept saying to herself.
She could not digest the fact that Sam could do all this to her. She couldn't imagine his life without her. She couldn't agree to whatever he said or whatever she did after that.
" Leave it, let's not think about the past. This is a big problem for me. Whenever I just don't want to agree with the truth, I then keep ignoring it and then weep like a kid", she whispered while kicking a table beside her.
All of the arrangements were done now some pamphlets were remaining that Sam distributed to the people moving on the road. Sam was hardworking like anything. She had never seen him working with this efficiency before, even with his love of football.
Estella's pov:
I went to my temporary home i.e., granny's home as I had to reach school tomorrow because the music competition was going to be tomorrow.
"Estella why are you looking so different today, what's the matter?...you can share anything with me", granny said with a smile.
"Granny I want to say something to you if you can listen to me...will you?", I said in a low voice.
"Yeah! Why not dear, just go on", granny said while patting my back.
I told her everything that had happened to me 3 years ago. I told her every thought in my mind. I told her everything that I wanted to spit out. I felt comfortable telling her everything as she was an experienced person and I felt like talking to my grandma. The whole burden of my heart was gone like the wind after sharing with her.
"Granny this was the story of my life. But why can't I agree on the truth?...why can't I agree with the fact that Sam doesn't care about me? Today when I saw Sam hardworking I felt nice. I was able to see the truth in his eyes. I was able to see the curiosity in his eyes. I can say with my eyes closed that he wasn't doing anything fake...but he was doing something from the core of his heart".
"It happens dear, by the time you'll get to know everything. One day you'll get the answers to your all questions going on in your mind right now. I can't say anything about this but I can just say that never lose hope and I can pray for you dear", she said while putting her hand on my head.
I felt nice and went to bed. I woke up early and went to school will all the confidence that I got from granny last night. I was wondering about something great that was going to happen today and moved on. When I reached the hall I saw Samuel and Kelly together talking. I heard Kelly saying,
"Samuel it was your football finals today right, why are you here then?".
"This day means a lot to me... you'll get to know yourself", Sam replied.
Finally, all the performances were over when Sam was praying that I should win and get a chance to sing in the USA. He was just repeating the words that I should move to the USA. That means Sam was doing all this to send me to the USA forever.
"He wanted me to move away from his life. But I could see the truth in his eyes. He was praying from all his heart but it's just an illusion...it's just the pity I'm having on Sam because I still care for our friends believe it or not. I just keep saying that I don't care but the truth is that I care, I love him the most", I kept saying to myself and a huge tear escaped my eye.
I started weeping that could Sam exceed the limits to send me away from his life. I was hoping something good to happen today but all of my confidence fall to my foot. No positivity was left in me now. I was more hurt than that day because I had never thought that Sam could do this ever for throwing me away from his life. I was not in a good state. I rushed towards the main gate of the school and I was weeping like anything else. I was running very fast. I was about to have an accident in a car when someone came and saved me. When I moved around, it was Sam.
"Have I seen you somewhere?", Sam asked.
"No no, I need to go, thanks for saving me", I said while leaving. I was hiding my tears and before he could recognize me I had left.
