"Who woulda thunk that I coulda been possessed by my own mist self!" Mags exclaims. "Anywho, guess it all turned out just peachy in the end. And I got this here key for us!"
"Yes, that's what matters." The Brain says.
"And that you're safe, Mags," Cali quickly adds with a glare directed towards the Ancient.
Brain rolls his one eye. "Yes, of course." He holds up the rift key. "One of the oldest powers in all of Skylands is just as important as our dear friend Mags' life."
"Aw, that ought ta be one of the nicest things I ever heard." Mags gushes. "Yer just as important as that there key too, Mr. Brain."
"Thank you," Brain replies tersely. "Now with this key, all that we are missing is our Dark Portal Master. One, that unfortunately, will have to be Kaos. We'll have to appeal to his vain nature and convince him that the King of Chaos and Darkness are threats to him. That we are his only hope."
"Are you sure that will work?" Cali asks.
"It'd work on me." Flynn cuts in.
"It's our best hope." The Brain continues. "But that is hardly the biggest problem, first we need to find him."
"I might be able to help with that," Mags interjects. "My mind is still a lil' fuzzy 'bout everythin' but I think I remember somethin' the other me said back there about Kaos bein' trapped in the Lowlands."
"The Lowlands?" Brain asks confused. "What could he have done to get himself trapped in the Lowlands?"
"She made it sound like the darkness had trapped him there."
"Hmm," Buzz hums. "That might actually be perfect for us. If the Darkness has already turned on Kaos, then he's likely itchin' to get revenge against them, same as us. Not to mention that savin' him from the eternal pits of Skylands should put him in our debt."
"Very true," the Brain agrees. "That just leaves one question: is it worth traveling down into the dark depths of Skylands just to save Kaos?"
Cali steps forward. "If it's our only chance at defeating the Darkness, then absolutely."
Flynn steps up beside her. "I'm not much a fan of the dark, but this seems like destiny calling for the greatest captain in all of Skylands. And Cap'n Flynn never hangs up on destiny."
"Then it's settled." Cali agrees. "We're going to the Lowlands"

The Dreadyacht soars through a void of darkness. Every light on the ship is turned on and pointed into the abyss. Occasionally, islands can be spotted passing close by as they continue further down.
Buzz and Cali stand at the stern of the ship looking out.
"How much further until we're there?" Flynn calls from the cockpit.
Cali looks down at the little device in front of her. "The heat signatures are only a little bit further down! We should be seeing them soon!"
Out of the darkness suddenly appears a great lighthouse tower. Flynn panics and quickly spins the wheel, avoiding it narrowly, and sailing out over darkened island.
"Wow!" Cali gasps. "It's an entire city below us!" The camera shows a bunch of shadows of houses and a great cathedral below them.
Flynn has to turn quickly again to avoid crashing. He swings them back around and sets them down in a safe spot on the island.
The three of them exit the ship.
"Alright, Skylander. The heat signatures are coming from the capital building out there..." She pauses as she realizes it's only darkness that can be seen. "Out there somewhere, we should be able to find it."
She reaches into her pack and pulls out a couple of orbs. "These are glowbulbs, Skylander." She shakes them and they activate, soaring up above hers and the Skylanders heads. "They don't provide too much light, but just enough that we should be able to find our way through this darkness."
"And if that's not enough," Buzz adds. "Me and Flynn will be circling around up above to give a little light here and there. Hopefully that should allow you to find Kaos."
"And do it quick!" Flynn calls from the ship. "This place creeps me out. I swear I just saw a shadow move out there!"
"He's right, Skylander." Cali says. "I don't think the Darkness is the type to leave their prisoners unguarded. So be ready!"

Mist Horror:
A tall, slender humanoid creature made out of pure darkness. Has large glowing eyes that will watch you from afar. When you turn to face them, they will gain aggro. Swings their arms at you for heavy damage (deals 54/65/84/101 damage). Eyes will glow extra bright, indicating they're about to fire off a beam of light (deals 38/52/63/77 damage)
- Easy: 500 Hp
- Medium: 600 Hp
- Hard: 720 Hp
- Nightmare: 864 HpDark Tumor:
Little mist tumor blobs made out of darkness with a slight emerald glow to them. Move incredibly slow and will expand before letting out a damaging mist around them — not very dangerous unless in packs, they're clouds stack damages.
- Easy: 175 Hp, 1 dps
- Medium: 242 Hp, 7 dps
- Hard: 334 Hp, 15 dps

Severed mist tentacles with a serpentine face on its "head". Will swing itself at the player in a flurry of slaps. Best avoided by circling around and attacking from behind. Every time it hits the player, it will increase its damage by 4%.
- Easy: 300 Hp, 21 damage
- Medium: 387 Hp, 32 damage
- Hard: 500 Hp, 50 damage
- Nightmare: 645 Hp, 61 damageKin:
Dark bipedal dragon creatures that are mini bosses for this area. They are large and powerful. Their scales will harden in response to any damage they take, reducing the damage taken by 1% for every 2% of its health taken away.
Breathes a slew of fire directly in front of themselves, they walk slowly while doing this. Deals 25/37/53/71 damage every 2 seconds.
Slashes claws in large arcs that deal heavy damage (69/89/101/115). Each swipe sends out a pulse of energy in front of them that will travel to a medium range. Deals 17/28/44/54 damage.
If you are far away from them, they will leap into the air and dash rapidly towards you. This is easily dodged and sets them up for easy damage. This move does deal damage (41/51/66/83)
