The Darkness is destroyed.
Skylands Celebrates.
Following the final battle and Cleasai's sacrifice, Cali, Flynn, Hugo, Mags, Sharpfin, Tessa, Brain, and Eon gathered around their final resting place. Hundreds of mist monsters had formed there, slowly but surely forming an army. Every one of them slumped to the ground, the murky darkness floating away from them leaving hundreds of innocent people returned to the world.
Tessa took charge, ordering Woodburrow ships to pick up the confused group of people and take them back to Woodburrow. Mabu, wolves, and elves alike all thanked the heroes for saving them from the Darkness' grasp.
Two wolves in particular, came to them asking about a man named Cleasai. Eon stepped forward and explained to them his sacrifice to save everyone. He died a hero. They seemed to take comfort in that.

(Eon's Narration)
A few days after the final battle, Skylands was essentially back to normal. The Core of Light was returned to Eon's Citadel where Cali was named Supreme Protector of the Light for her heroism in the war against the Darkness. She proudly took the job and brought prosperity to the (once again) rebuilding Citadel. Mags took the lead in this project, moving her lab to the city in the process. Because of this, the Citadel became one of the most technologically advanced cities in all of Skylands.... Also one of the most bizarre.
Buzz was promoted from head of Skylander Training to Co-Headmaster of the Academy. Brain shared the title with him, both training and recruiting more Skylanders to the cause and making them mightier than ever before. They became fast friends during this, both of them enjoying their nightly Sky Stones battles. Naturally, they became the best players in all of Skylands.
Hugo remained at the Academy as well. He stockpiled and collected every book he could in Skylands, creating a grand archive of knowledge there. So big, in fact, that when he got lost in the stacks of books, it took the Skylanders a full week to find him. He was happy nonetheless.
Sharpfin did not care for a job as a thank you for his services, instead requesting a medal. Once received, he promptly sold it for enough gold to buy Battlebrawl Island. He now runs the greatest fighting ring in all of Skylands.
Tessa welcomed all of the mist refugees into Woodburrow and helped them get their lives back. She worked with Persephone and the fairies to create new islands full of life for them to live on.
Flynn went on to write "The Tales of Boomstryder" a fictional true story about how he led the Skylanders to victory over the Darkness. Some highlights of the book include him valiantly waking the Rotter for him to take on by himself, surviving a swim in a vat of lava, and curing cancer... I'm not sure what led him to include that last point, but he was adamant that it was necessary to the story.
Kaos and Glumshanks were each offered a peace treaty between them and the Skylanders. They agreed to it, however, Kaos signed "SUCKERS!" rather than his actual name on the dotted line. He and Glumshanks then fled to Trolltopia where the monarchy had recently been replaced with a democracy. Glumshanks was entered as one of the candidates and won by a landslide. Quite literally actually, as a landslide buried all of his opponents. An investigation in voter fraud and sabotage was issued by the Trolltopian police, but ultimately found nothing (the Trolltopia police is a bit of a joke). Kaos was appointed to the senate shortly after, fueling rumors that Glumshanks was nothing but Kaos' puppet and he was the true ruler of the city. (The Trolltopian police conducted a thorough investigation into this rumor and found inconclusive evidence; i.e. a note written in crayon saying it was a false rumor. The investigation was closed shortly thereafter).
"Yes, everything had returned to normal, all thanks to you, Portal Master. But as you already know, the story is not over yet. Always there will be adventure out there for those willing to search for it. As I am sure you will do soon. This is not farewell, merely so long, until next time. And remember.... Never lose that sense of adventure."

Spyro returns to his quarters in the magic tower of the Academy. He opens his door to find the room destroyed. His bed is in tatters, his stuff strewn all about the ground. Burn marks scar the walls and ceiling.
"Pop Fizz," he says with a short laugh. "Can't you use your own room for experiments?"
He goes to start cleaning up, but pauses as he spots a marking on the wall. He steps closer to the wall to look at it. Spray painted in purple is the image of a laughing wolf, a golden crown resting atop their head.
THE END
**Author's Note**
Thank you so much for all of the support this story has been given. I am grateful for everyone who has been apart of this two year journey in crafting this concept for a seventh Skylanders entry. It has been so much fun to make and I am thankful for the opportunity to share it with you.
I'd like to give a special shout out to the incredible Gaming Scientist. He has been my most stalwart supporter throughout this journey and I can honestly say that I wouldn't have been able to finish this without him. For those of you who don't know, he is the programmer for the playable chapters for this story concept, integrating the Shrink Squad characters and level walkthroughs into an actual game that you can play. I still find it crazy that you can play this game. What he's done is just amazing. He is also the writer of the Story Versions, taking away the walkthrough aspect and making it into an actual story for you to read and enjoy. He has done so much for this story and server that he absolutely deserves a follow. G1m1NG-Sc1enT1st03 He has a bunch of great stuff, including an in depth DPS analysis on dozens of Skylanders.
For those of you looking for more Skylander content, I have a story on my account called Skylands Legends.
"They've done it! Following the defeat of Kaos, the Skylanders have officially banished all of the villainy out of Skylands and can now move into an era of peace... or so they thought.
An ancient evil is awakening and not everything is as it seems. Allegiances will be tested and friends will prove to be foes. In a darkening world, who can you truly trust?
An epic fantasy story taking place in a gritty version of Skylands that follows all your favorite Skylanders ten years after the defeat of Kaos. After being lured into a false sense of security, something new and even more dangerous is coming for them. Will the Skylanders be able to unite against the new evil? Or will they be too late?"
If that is of interest to you, check it out!
And for those who are interested in the making of the story/game, read on from here to find chapter to chapter reflections written by Gaming Scientist and me. If you ever wanted to know where the ideas for these levels came from, that's the way to go.
Aside from that, I just want to give a big shout out to the Skylanders community. Imaginators may have come out seven years ago, but this community is still strong and I love that. I hope we can continue to keep this amazing franchise alive in some way, preserving the magic that we all grew up with.
So long, Portal Masters.
